IOC Petrol Pump - Water in Diesel

I have filled 50 litres diesel from M/s Calicut Petrols functioning at Cakorthukulam , Kannur road, Calicut on 25 th July by evening. I drove home about 2 km away. Next morning when I started my BMW Car, the engine was producing sound ,white smoke and car was not starting. Informed the BMW Service centre, they checked and lifted the vehicle. Found that half the tank of car is water. Now the tank has been drained, pipes cleaned. Diesel filter and fuel pump has to be replaced. Replacing this will not cover my service package or in warranty. My complaint is Who is going to bear the expense of this ?

Why dont you take it up with the consumer forum and ask the said petrol pump to reimburse you the extra expenses incurred? Also file a complaint with the IOC as it is their reputation that is at stake due to this unacceptable business practice of the petrol pump with the intent to deceive its customers.
I hope IOC will take action to stop the business of the petrol pump who indulges in such nefarious activities to cheat gullible customers apart from making them pay for your extra expenses incurred on such an expensive car. Good luck Dr Suhanesh.
