I got my Grand i10 magna(petrol) on 1st november,it was running fine, and after 4 days of staying idle,all battery got drained. Now the dealer says its coz of lesser use(generally i use car on weekends),we even had other cars and even if we don't use them for a month or longer nothing happens and workshop manager says its cluster problem coz of Programming defect. I want a Clarification on this. My car is Stationary since 2 days, No bloody Dealer or Service station is listening to me on this. All they have is,please wait we will get back to you,but i want to know when?????

I got my car by paying everything in cash & that too on a single day...
This is not tolerable..
Even now, if you people are not going to help me, I am going to get my money back by filing a case in Consumer court.
If this is the condition in Warranty, then what you people do when it will be out of warranty..????

I have also want to buy a Gayer Lock which is very import part of car due to theft issue and i have ask many times to Showroom officers that when will company provide me the Gayer Lock and he always told me that company is not yet make the Gayer Lock till date.
I want you to reply me ASAP that what is the actual issue as company is making the car but not making the Gayer Lock and Music System for the same.

I purchased Grand i10 at Secunderabad through Talwar Hyundai on November 9, 2013 and after about 7 days of idle time the Battery got discharged. Talwar replaced the Exide with a brand new Amaron. Again now after a three day idle time, it got drained out. Service person from Talwar is expected to update the software tomorrow. Just waiting to see how this is going to resolve. Brand new car giving this kind of problems.....Just disappointed with a new car purchase.....sad...
Same issue as every one else. Same response from dealers else where that something was left on. But thats **** as we all know.
Lodged the complaint with the company and received call from dealer soon. But I guess it was just a receptionist who didnt understand any part of the problem problem and insisted to get the battery checked. Actually she was complete retard who didnt know a thing on technical front.
However guys came and took the battery away for charging. After 24 hours, today they returned back and took the car away for inspection. Technician said he is taking the car away for scanning through the software.
I will go and pick the car this evening and planning to keep it stationery for 5 days to check if problem has been resolved or not.

I purchased grand i 10 megna petrol & facing same problem .the battery is getting discharged in every 3-4 days.
local mechanic said the current is contentiously flowing even the ignition is switched off ...need immediate replacement of the vehicle
Hii my grand is like 1 month old and yesterday i faced the similar problem. It was idle for 3 days and had to call the service center people who jumped start it.
my use is really less its like once in a week sometimes twice in 20-25 days if it continue it is a really big problem/issue for people like us.
guys please let me know solution if any and any other future course of action you people contemplating.

Hi All, Please share your VIN number. Planning to lodge complain to Hyundai and copy to consumer forum court as Hyundai not not responding to problem. Dealers are more ill literate about this car than consumer.

I feel the real issue of Battery Draining in Grand is still not sorted out permananetly....
Hyundai Road Side Assistance person visited my home, accompanied by two another person introduced as “Technical Team from Chennai†with their Laptop and uploaded some software after opening the front panel below the Steering. This process hardly took 5 minutes and they told me that the Battery Draining issue is sorted out. Simutaneously they also told me to start the Car Engine atleast for 10minutes within three or four days to keep the battery charged and further avoiding Battery Draining issue. And I totally agree with Mr. Pradeep, Bangalore that we buy the car for our usage and as per our convenience we drive the Car. Why the Hyundai Technical Team is further confusing to the Customer their by further creating “negative feedback†asking us not to keep the Vehicle idle for more than 3 or four days??? It seems the Real Technical/Mechanical Issue is still not sorted out????????
Please share your experience and interaction with the Dealer in this forum regarding Battery Draining issue so that together we approach the Hyundai for the prompt resolution.

Refefering to my previous complaint in this site regarding Grand i-10 battery draining issue, I want to ask the other complainants, Has the Hyundai authorities uploaded the software in anyone’s car????? Dear All,
Yesterday the Hyundai people came and updated the console/cluster software of my car. They said that bcoz of software issue the circuit was drawing current from battery even in ignition off condition. This was leading to battery drain.
The Hyundai people suggested not to let vehicle idle for more than 3-4 days. This has further confused me regarding the real issue. No other carmaker or even Hyundai also does not put any precondition like this for their new vehicles. So why they are doing this for Grand... we buy cars for running them as per our convenience not for running them every 3-4 days just to keep its battery recharged. I request people on this forum to share their interactions with Hyundai regarding this battery drain issue. If possible plz include ur contact nos./email ids so that we can be in touch.

I purchased my Grand I10 magna petrol rom Advaith hyundai Bangalore on 14th Oct. I first faced this problem of battery completely getting discharged (dead), display not coming, even remote locks not working on 10th Nov. Called Advaith and they said the battery may have been discharged bcoz of door light/ trunk light remaining on. Got the vehicle towed to service station, there the battery was fully charged and it was said that there is no problem either in car or battery. But again today the same problem has happened.... dont know what to do... was earlier thinking that may be the battery is faulty but after seeing all the posts here it looks there is some issue with the car circuitry only.

I also purchased Hyundai Grand i 10 Spotrz petrol on 13th October 2013 by full cash payment and inspite of every electrical function off my cars battery gets discharged twice after i have not drive it for 2-3 days....After consulting road side assisstance services and car dealers they jump start the car twice...Car dealers are not at all showing any serious concern about this problem.....I am very worried and loosing trust in Hyundai Brand....My car is in warranty period and its first servicing is also due.....So i want Hyundai authorities to look into the matter otherwise i am forced to take some legal action against the company..... battery results are very frustrating....
Hi All, I am facing the same issue and this was the second time my battery got drained. This time Service center people have updated the software and just got the delivery after keeping my car with them for 2 days. I am not sure but just for testing this fix, I am not going to touch it for 4-5 days.
Please share if anyone who got the grand i 10 software updated facing the battery drain problem again.
