I got my Grand i10 magna(petrol) on 1st november,it was running fine, and after 4 days of staying idle, all battery got drained. Now the dealer says its coz of lesser use(generally i use car on weekends),we even had other cars and even if we don't use them for a month or longer nothing happens and workshop manager says its cluster problem coz of Programming defect. I want a Clarification on this. My car is Stationary since 2 days, No bloody Dealer or Service station is listening to me on this. All they have is,please wait we will get back to you,but i want to know when?????

Is this something called Customer service...????
I got my car by paying everything in cash & that too on a single day...

This is not tolerable..

Even now, if you people are not going to help me, I am going to get my money back by filing a case in Consumer court.
If this is the condition in Warranty, then what you people do when it will be out of warranty..????

m so worried about it..Why i Choose HYUNDAI.......!!!!!

To one and all who are intending to buy Hyundai (Grand i-10) car
please do not purchase this car as there seems to be some valid
manufacturing fault which is causing the malfunctioning of the other
Components. My car problem initially started with the Battery draining
issue which was then replaced with the battery and further software
upgrade. But the issue is still not resolved permanently as three
times again I had experienced battery draining issue in my car. Now it
is affected the malfunctioning of other components. The odometer is
not showing correct petrol reading, seat belt icon sometimes displays
even after fastening the seat belt. The Gear has become really hard
giving unexpected Tick sound from the bottom. The first servicing is
also over but Hyundai technical team and dealer service is unable to
rectify these issues permanently and HMIL is now hiding the true facts
from the customer saying "Car is perfectly fine and it is meeting all
the parameters of the standard set by HMIL". Now I have decided to
proceed legally to get my full refund.

I got my Grand i10 Stotz (petrol) on 1st november,it was running fine, and after 4 days of staying idle, all battery got drained. Now the dealer says its coz of lesser use. We use the car on weekends. I has Maruti 800 which I used to used even after 15 days, it would start without any problem. This is the second time we are facing this problem. I want a Clarification on this. I have given my car in the service station since 10th January 2014 but till date (16th January 2014) I have received not answer.
This is definatedly not accepable.

In case the problem reoccurs, I will go to Consumer Court to get back my money or replace the same.

I encountered same battery drain problem recently. The support person has upgraded software and has assured me that it will not happen again.
The service says that with the new software update, the connection of software to hardware will get OFF and no battery consumption will take place once the keys are OUT.
I am monitoring it for the past two days and for now it is OK. I shall take this issue up again if unresolved.

I also faced this problem. I purchased Grand i10 Sports Petrol on 1st Nov.2013 from Joshi Hundai, Mohali . Got first service done on 27/12/13. I did not use car for two days i.e 29th and 30th Dec. I was unable to start it on 31st Dec. After lodging complaint, RSA technician jump start my car as the battery had discharged. I also took car to dealer and they have asked me to get the battery recharged fully. I have to leave the car for recharging the battery as the dealer has no stand-by battery. I failed to understand when battery discharge is a common problem in Grand i10 car rather it can be said manufacturing defect, why Hundai is not providing a permanent solution. I request Hundai people to provide a permanent solution to this problem to avoid trouble to its customers, otherwise the sale of this car will be adversely affected. I hope Hundai people will provide a permanent solution under intimation to its customers.

Fed up with the battery discharge problem. Now I understand what a grand mistake I have done by purchasing GRAND(?) I10. I had purchased on 1st Nov. Till date the battery had discharged 2 times. Every time they come and charge the battery. I should advise others not to go for the vehicle.

I had purchased my Hyundai i10 car on 22nd October 22nd ,within these 2 months my car battery got discharged 2 times. When first time my battery got discharged i contacted Hyundai service ,they send their technician and he jump start my car and when i asked the reason he told ,may be parking light was kept open so battery got discharged,2nd time my car went on first service on 22nd dec and on 28th again my battery got discharged. I am really disappointed with Hyundai and want to take strong action against them as seeing from the complaints this is a common problem in all I10 GRAND MODEL

This is to inform you that by mistake I have bought grand I10 Sportz model (Regn No.: HR26 CC 3004) in the month of October 2013 (after having excellent experience of using Hyundai I10 for 5 years).

15 days back I have encountered a problem with the car related to battery discharge due to which I was unable to start the car, immediately I called up roadside assistance and they somehow started the car and after that I have visited Hyundai authorized service centre (Proffesional Hyundai, Sector-52) on 15th December for the reporting the issue & its diagnosis.

At the Service centre I was told that there is some software upgradation going on in Grand I10 which would arrest this issue and you will never face this problem again. So I go as per their words and got the software upgraded.

Now on 25th December, while going out for some urgent work I have faced the same problem again (battery discharge issue) due to which I was not able to open the door of the car also and had I would not have second car I will be in trouble because of the Hyundai car issue. So this is the second time I am getting the same issue in a brand new car which is only 2 month old.
I want an immediate resolution of the same on urgent basis for:

1) to replace the battery of my car at my residance (as this problem would have damaged the life of the battery).

2) immediate resoultion to this problem at my doorstep.

I purchased grand i10 on 1st November 2013 from sharayu hundai, turbhe, navi mumbai. Within 50 days time my car battery drained twice after it was not used for 3-4 days and response given to me by service centre people is same as others have got, like: some software up gradation is required, etc. etc. I am not satisfied with this answer and solution at all and worried that problem will persist. Will I get proper reason for this problem and if not hyndai must compensate me.
