Apple India - Macbook error not being repaired by Apple service centre in Gurgaon

I purchased a Macbook in late 2008 with 2 year warranty cover under the Apple care protection plan. Serial # of my machine is W8832AXM0P1 which has been going for REPAIRS to Tresor Systems Gurgaon for the past 3 years.

In 2010, I had given my machine for a BLUE SCREEN error. Since it was under the Applecare plan, the logic board was change for free as a solution to this issue. This was done at 4genuis minds - an Apple centre at Nehru Place, New Delhi.

Since 2011, my machine has gone in 4-5 times to Tresor Systems, Gurgaon for the BLUE SCREEN error. Everytime they would format it and return to me with a charge of 1500 - 2000 INR and no explanation whatsoever. I would ask for clarification on the diagnosis and there would be none. Standard reply is. " THERE COULD BE SEVERAL REASONS FOR THIS HAPPENING AGAIN AND AGAIN".

But despite knowing that there are several reasons for this, no proper check was being done on the machine to remove the issue altogether. Vague answers and casual attitude is what I got from Tresor Systems for the past 2 years.

THIS IS A JOKE FOR THEM. BLUE SCREEN ERROR; LAPTOP NOT BOOTING UP AND GENERALLY VERY SLOW.

I was told to change the hard drive and upgrade RAM and MAYBE the problem will go away!! I did upgrade the RAM ( Invoice #1014 / invoice date - 22/11/11) but it didnt help. I am ready to change hard drive too but I needed assurances that it WOULD sort the problem. Tresor Systems would not give any assurances EVER. All they would say it is that IT MIGHT WORK!!!! How is a customer supposed to react on this? Instead of a concrete solution, Tresor Systems have been harassing me over this issue with their casual attitude. And fleecing me of money every time my laptop goes to them.

Recently took it in March 2013 for the same Blue screen error and was again charged for it ( Invoice # GGN-1213-PSI-0159)

In frustration, I called up Apple techsupport and Mr. Deepak ( Extn # 47165 / Case ID 436179040) gave me some assurances and asked me to leave the machine with Tresor Systems where he would ensure checking it up with the Apple support team. He mentioned running an alternate hard drive to check whether its the hard drive giving errors and several other options.

Convinced I left my machine with Tresor on 08/05/13 ( service report 3315) and was asked to return with the original CD for the system. Mr. Pradeep from Apple tech support informed me of some "KERNEL ERRORS" being formed in the system due to "WRONG OS" being uploaded in my system. I was shocked to learn this. It means the fault was Tresor Systems and they were charging me for it so blatantly - maybe this was a fraud cooked up by them to earn money since I had to keep returning to them on average in 4-5 months.

It seems they never checked the service history of this machine or else would have known about the logic board being replaced for the SAME error!!

Now after 10 days, it seems all they did is loaded the original OS because THEY WERE ASKED TO BY THE APPLE TECHSUPPORT. Satyabhan (techie who handles my machine every time) told me to speak to them for any assurances I might need on my machine as they only did what they were asked to do!!!!!!!!! I was shocked to hear this - shocked at their dismissive attitude. It was the same with Sanchay Sood , manager of this centre. He was equally blase about the whole thing and asked me to speak to the tech support in Bangalore.

I left a complaint on their feedback book - but no action.

The machine is not working well - I have some problems in composing emails, etc. its slow in booting up too. On top of that the techie has put in the wrong spelling of my name in the system which is Irking the hell out of me. I know I will have to take the machine for formatting again to them to remove it and that is so bloody inconvenient. I wrote an email to Tresor system for this as well but no revert to date.

I have been speaking to 3 different people in Apple techsupport Bangalore;
1) Deepak (Sr Advisor- Extn # 47165) disappeared after the initial interaction as he is on a vacation.
2) Pradeep (Sr Advisor - Extn # 47154) took over but was not very competent and despite my asking him to connect me to Deepak or the customer support - nothing has been done by him to date. I had asked him to verify the service done on my system as are they sure about this issue being resolved for ever now???? No response to date.
3) Spoke to another Deepak (sr ADVISOR) with the same inputs but to date no response.

What the hell?????? Bangalore techsupport is also playing games with me now.

Its very clear to me that this machine had a fault since the beginning and APPLE simply ignore that and kept going through the motions of repairs and fleecing me of money.

I am a thoroughly dissatisfied customer by now - I used to be such a fan of Apple products. But this experience has left me broken. It would have been better to show my machine to some guy in a butcher shop in Nehru place than run around with the APPLE AUTHORISED SERVICE CENTRE - insensitive jerks there with zero technical competence.

On advise of a twitter friend, I am writing in here and will also send a complaint to the Bangalore HQ for a proper redressal before approaching consumer court for a redressal.
