Firstly, I am a very rational user and not one of the 'always-complaining' types.

I was a BB fan till yesterday, when I received a ridiculous mail from them on account of my first encounter with them regarding service. I am one of the unfortunate users whose Curve 9300 had an inherent problem with the freezing track pad. After trying a number of ways like removal of battery and OS reloading, I finally handed it over to the Kolkata Service Center, it being under warranty.

I received this reply:
"The handset is irreparable due to liquid damage. The handset will not be considered in warranty. The handset can be repaired on chargeable basis, the estimation of the repair/replacement is Rs. 12,757/-"

The problem has been there from almost the very beginning and the original cost of the phone was 13,000/- when I bought it...

I really don't have much to say after this... just terribly disgusted!!

I know that, you might not be much bothered with this email, but you have definitely lost at least one customer and I will ensure that I spread the message to the best of my abilities. Hope you don't under estimate the power of social networking today.. :-)

I had the same experience with the repair center in Mumbai (Borivali West) and they asked for 13000 to repair the PCB (said they will replace the phone). This after the same problem was shown to them twice earlier and on both occassions the panel was replaced. Terrible customer service.
