ON 26.05.12 ASKED TO FIX STANDARD QUALITY GLASS IN A BOOKSHELF.AND A SLAB OF GLASS WIDTH 8MM OF SIZE 18X30 INCHES IN ANOTHER SHOWCASE.A MAN CAME & TOOK THE MEASUREMENTS.
PAID RS.500/-ADVANCE.AND HE ASKED TO PAY RS.820/-ON OR AFTER COMPLETION OF JOB TO HIS WORKERS.THEY DID NOT TURNEDUP FOR THE WHOLE DAY.WHEN REMINDED THE LABOUR WITH GLASS CAME AT ABOUT 7-8 PM.FIXED THE BOOK SHELF ROLLING GLASS WERE PUT WITH A GREAT DIFFICULTY IE CUTTING THE GLASS FROM BOTH SIDES AGAIN & AGAIN.STICKERS TO ROLL THE GLASS WERE PLACED.& WE WERE ADVISED NOT TO ROLL OR TOUCH THE STICKERS FOR 24 HRS.
THE SHELF OF 18X30''WAS PLACED VERY CASUALLY.
WE WERE ASKED TO PAY RS 820/- & BILL HE DENIED FOR.THE OWNER OVER TELEPHONE SAID THAT THE BILL ARE NOT ISSUED IN GBD.
WE HAD GUEST IN THE HOUSE BEING THE DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF OUR FATHER.SO WE MADE THE PAYMENT BEING PREOCCUPIED.
NEXT DAY WE CHECKED THE BOOK SHELF SHUTTER WHICH WERE NOT ROLLING PROPERLY WERE HARD NOT SMOOTH IN MOVING.
THEN WE CHECKED THE WIDTH OF THE GLASS SHELF 18X30''.WERE SHOCKED TO FIND THE WIDTH TO BE 6MM INSTEAD OF 8MM.
WE INFORMED THE OWNER ABOUT THE NON FUNCTIONAL OF DOORS OF SHUTTERS.HE SENT THE WORKER TO RECTIFY THE ERROR AGAIN AT ABOUT 8 PM.HE CAME ALONGWITH ONE MORE PERSON.THEY WERE IN A QUARRELING MOOD AS IF I HAVE MADE A FALSE COMPLAINT TO THEIR OWNER.THEY TALKED IN A VERY HIGH TONE.WE REQUESTED THEM TO COOL DOWN AS WE WERE NOT AT FAULT.NOW AGAIN THEY DID HIT & TRIAL WITH THE SHUTTER GLASSES OF BOOK SHELF & INSTRUCTED US TO USE IT CAREFULLY AS IT MAY HURT OR BREAK.THE FAULT OF LEVELLING WAS TEMPORARILY REPAIRED REDUCING THE LENGTH & HENCE EDGES TO CREATE HARM WHILE USING.
WHILE GOING I SHOWED THEM THE WIDTH OF THE GLASS SHELF 18X30''.I SAID IT IS 6MM & NOT 8MM.AS THE OTHER GLASSES ALREADY FITTED ARE THICKER THAN THIS & THRU TAPE ALSO IT IS 6MM APPROX.NOT 8MM.AT THIS POINT THE BOTH STARTED SHOUTING AT US & CLAIMED IT TO BE 8MM.I HAD TO TELL THEM TO CALL THE POLICE OR TO LEAVE THE HOUSE.THE 2ND PERSON WHO ACCOMPANIED THE WORKER APPEARED TO BE A BAD ELEMENT & GAVE US THREAT.AFTER THEY LEFT I INFORMED THE OWNER OF SHOP.HE ALSO CLAIMED IT IS 8MM.I ASKED FOR THE BILL AGAIN & HE SAID''IS BAR RAHNE DO FIR LE LENA""NEXT DAY WE WENT TO THE SHOP & REQUESTED FOR THE BILL.HE HESITATINGLY GAVE & CHARGED RS.150/-EXTRA.FOR THE WIDTH OF THE GLASS HE SAID''PEECHE SE HI KABHI KABHI 8MM KA 7MM AA JATA HAI KYA KAREN.''
HE WAS NOT READY TO CHANGE THE GLASS OF THE SHELF & TO CORRECT THE ERROR OF ROLLING SHUTTERS.OUR SUBMISSION IS THAT HIS SALE PURCHASE BOOKS BE GOT CHECKED FOR EVASION OF VAT &N OTHER SERVICE CHARGES.
DURING 5 MONTHS OF 2012 HE ISSUED ONLY 11 BILLS FROM BOOK NO.1.A LEGAL ACTION IF DEEM FIT BE TAKEN FOR THE GOVT TAXES NOT PAID BY HIM.OUR BILL NO.IS 011 FROM BOOK NO.01.

Complainant's Goal: LET THE OWNER CHANGE THE GLASSES.FITTINGS BE DONE PROPERLY.EXCESS AMT.BE RETURNE
