This is regarding the pain I have to undergo in getting back by own money from Airtel. Just to give yo brief background, I had applied for new internet broad band connection (Supesonic - 16 MBPS) in the last week of Feb, 2013. I was asked to pay Rs. 7500(Through cheque) as advance rental scheme (5 Month + 1 Month free). As expected, there was no follow up from Airtel about my connection. After my repeated follow up (I would have called at least 25 times until now), I was told that it is not feasible to provide the broad band connection on 9th March. Then I had to follow up on refunding the money Airtel has taken from me(for providing no services). Finally after repeated follow up, I was told on 19th march that cancellation process has started and it would take 21 days to get back my money. Today, I again called to find the status and as expected I was told something new. Now I have been told that cancellation process has started on 28th March and will take 21 days from here. Isn't you guys cheating customers? I am tired of following up with you folks and now I have decided to go back to consumer court and demand for penalty for the pain I have to undergo to get back my refund.
I can wait maximum for couple of days but if I don't hear, I am going to media and publish this entire episode in leading news papers and social websites. I have ran out of patience now and expect penalty to be paid along with original refund amount.

This mail is inform you the kind of pathetic customer service Airtel is providing.
In the last week of February, I had given application form(TBLR number: 609513) along with cheque of Rs. 7500 for new supersonic broadband internet connection. On 4th March, I got a mail from Airtel telling that within 3 days connection would be provided. As expected, no one from airtel came back to me after that. In the mean time, cheque was en-cashed by Airtel. After repeated calls from my side to Mr. Prasad(********25) from Airtel, finally on 11th March, I was told that it wouldn't be possible to provide the connection at my residence due to some choking lines and I would be refunded. Again I kept asking for some email confirmation that refunding process has started but I never received any confirmation. Finally on 17th March, I called up Airtel customer care and they informed me that cancellation process has not started. I was given promise that on by 18th March (Ref number: 30152180), I would be contacted back from Airtel and they would confirm the timeline for refund... As expected, there was no response from Airtel... Today morning again I had to call back and still same story goes on...
It is just next to impossible to understand how can Airtel take the payment from customer without providing the services... Have never seen this kind of customer care in my entire life. And the worst part is that I have to keep following with Airtel to get back my own money.
If I don't hear any response from you, I am left with no choice but to drag you to consumer court.
It's been one hell of experience communicating with Airtel folks who would respond some ready made answers to my queries.

I would expect you to tell me when exactly I would get refunded along with penalty charges. It's been really stressful experience interacting with Airtel. As of today, no one has called me from Airtel and It is me who is again and again reaching out to Airtel.. I would like to see someone take accountability in resolving this case. Do not force me to go legal way...

Please put a timeline for refund. Your folks were after me while asking for cheque and encashed it immediately. Now I have to run after you folks get back my own money! Isn't it plain cheating?
Yet to hear from any one. No one has called me. I guess Airtel is least bothered about these complaints. Now I have to take this to leading newspaper. That way I guess some one will respond.
