Airtel Mobile Karnataka - Unable to recharge prepaid mobile from Airtel

Am unable to recharge my prepaid SIM card even though have lifetime validity. I had accordingly raised a complaint(#0********1) with customer support on 31-Jul-09. Till date my issue has not been resolved. I have already escalated to Nodal & Appellate officers of the Airtel Karnataka zone. I have only received assurances of resolution within 24 hours each time. Nobody even bothers to call back! Twice they called me to inform my issue is resolved only to find the reverse. And they went ahead & closed my original complaint & raised a new one instead. They point blank refused to reopen my original complaint! All this can be corroborated by the Airtel customer support as they record all the calls made to them. This really amounts to denial of service since I have lifetime validity.
