I have taken a travel insurance for my wife travelling from Bhubaneswar to bangalore on 3rd november, the same day the flight was cancelled and rescheduled a connecting flight from Mumbai, the delay was more than 6hrs.
As per travel insurance if the trip was was delayed for more than 6 hours they will be paying Rs. 10,000 for trip delay and Rs. 2000 for the baggage delay.

I had recieved Rs. 2000 cheque from ICICI Lombard . before subbmiting to the bank I called the customer care asking the details of the amount recieved. As per them it was for the baggae delay and I will be receiving the trip delay money soon.

But later they come up saying that My wife is not eligible for the trip delay.
and the amt. paid was for humanity basis for the trouble faced.

As per the original flight timing my wife was suppose to reach bangalore at around 3pm afternoon but she reached around 11pm night.

Rescheduled flight- IT- 3142

Departure Time- 17:20

Duration of delay- 5hrs and 10 minutes.(in bhubaneswar)

later the flight was delayed for 1hr 30 min in mumbai also.

Complainant's Goal: To get the money for the trouble caused and breach of trust and cheating.
