Hi

I am not able to send SMS on Toll Free No's from my Airtel No.
I still have a balance of Rs0.35 (which is almost zero as per condition mentioned on Daily Newspaper Times of India and Navbharat times) but still i am not able to send SMS on TOLL FREE NO. 1900
I AM ALSO NOT ABLE TO CALL ON ANY OF THE TOLL FREE NO. to know the MNP -UPC Code from Airtel.

Yoy want me to recharge my cell again with Rs .20 to send just one message on toll free No.
WHAT A JOKE..

Thank you for your email to airtel and the opportunity to assist you.

We request you to recharge your account and send the message as per the format given below

As per TRAI guidelines, to avail the MNP facility a customer needs to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Customer should be present on existing service provider network for at least 90 days.

There should not be any complaint/case pending in court of law with regards to the number one wants to port out.

Request to port out the number should be for the same service area as inter circle mobile number portability is not available.

The number should not be under contractual obligation with Airtel e.g. company owned company paid accounts.

There should not be any ownership transfer request in process for said number.

For your reference, the MNP procedure is mentioned below:

Generate Unique Porting code (UPC) by Sending PORT < Space> and your and send it to 1900. E.g. PORT 9810XXXXXX. Charges of SMS are applicable as per tariff plan opted by you. You will receive an auto revert message from 1901 giving an 8 digit alpha numeric unique porting code along with an expiry date.

Once UPC obtained, you have to approach the new service provider of your choice and obtain CAF (Customer Application Form) and porting form.

Submit the duly filled CAF and porting form along with requisite documents (Photo Id Proof, Residence proof, 2 photos, last bill copy in case of postpaid number) to the chosen service provider.

Rs.19 fees (As defined by TRAI) need to be paid while submitting documents.

Please note the above exercise is to be completed before the expiry date of mentioned along with the UPC.

Obtain new SIM card from the new service provider.

New service provider will take 7 days to process your Port-In request. (Sunday is non working day). During this process, you will be able to use your mobile phone as usual.

New service provider will keep updating you via SMS on the progress made and intimate the date and time of porting on your mobile phone. Replace the old SIM with the new SIM provided after the specified date and time. There will be a black out for only 2 hours and the same will be communicated to you through SMS.

We further like to inform you that once you have chosen to move -out you all current benefits of rate plan applicable on your number will be withdrawn. Since SIM Card will be changed, you will be required to move contacts to new SIM card. Also after port out in case you wish to come back then as per process you cannot shift the operator before 90 Days.

Please note that customer can withdraw the porting request within 24 hours of applying. Airtel as an organization believes in providing customer satisfaction. We earnestly hope that you will reconsider your decision and provide us with an opportunity to serve you again.

I want to switch to MTNL because of its Attractive Plans and Free MNP service
but AIRTEL IS NOT ALLOWING ME TO DO SO.
I have tried to send SMS on 1900 (Message Details: PORT ********98

I have tried the same procedure for 8-10 times but of no use.I always got the

I HAVE COMPLAINED THE SAME TO MINI STORE OF AIRTEL SECTOR 7 AND CUSTOMER CARE .
As per the Newspaper name mentioned above we need to zero our balance as the
same will be lapse after swiching to other subscriber.NOW THE PROBLEM IS THAT I
AM NOT ABLE TO GET UPC CODE due to zero balance.

I support this complaint.
My outgoings from my Airtel No. ********54 has been stopped from the moment i requested Airtel for Mobile Number Portability-UPC code on 23/1/2011.After this date i recharged my cell No. ********54 with two recharge coupens but all the balance was forfeited by Airtel and i was not able to use the balance due to outgoing sopped by Airtel.

i am not able to dial
121 or 198 or 12131 etc from my cell no. ********54.

Because of such restriction from your side i am not able to use the balance available in my Airtel Prepaid No.********54.

By dialling *123*5# i am getting the message ''Validity-Busy & can?t take calls? Use airtel call manage'' .

I can only check my balance but i am not able to utilize it due to call outgoing restriction from your side(Airtel)

I recharged my Mobile No. ********54 with two recharge coupens on 7th Feb2011 as per below details.
-->First Coupen Serial.No.1111011002359181 for Rs 10 (one day validity) for which Rs.9 is showing by checking on *123*5#.
-->Second Coupen Serial No.1111011007230154 for Rs. 15(Zero validity)
 
I tried to call customer care 121 and 198 from my Mobile No. ********54 for which i am getting a message error''check operater services'' .
Now i have complained through calling Airtel hotline No. 51111 (from Airtel Store Sec 7 Rohini)for which i recived various complaint No. as below:

Complaint No. Two:COGCL30207825192
Complaint No. Three:COVWC20207849005
I am not able to understand which complaint has been resolved and which is still Pending as complaint details are at your systems which are not working today as per your customer care deptt.point of view.
In brief
:I need to utilize my coupen No.1111011002359181(Rs 10) which has validity of One day and for which i got a responce from Airtel Hotline No.51111 that Airtel's systems are not working today so i will not be able to utilize this balance today .In such a condition this balance will definitey lapse.
Why should i suffer if systems of Airtel is not working today.In such a case kindly adjust this balance to my main A/c.
Kindly Resolve above two issues ASAP.
I am not able to call from my Airtel cell No. ********54 even after recharging with Two coupens today(7th Feb, 2011)and getting following message by dialling 0123*5#
'' Dedicated account 5 remains 9.00 INR and will expire on FEB 07 2011 -Busy & can?t take calls? Use airtel call manager''
Please resolve ASAP as this coupen is valid for today only and the balance will lapse because of undue delay from your side.

I have ported my number from Reliance GSM to Airtel GSM. Reliance has stopped my number however, Airtel has not activated my number and it is not functional for last 5 days. I have contacted their customer care several times but they are not solving my problem. As per government guidelines, the number remain inactive only for two hours. It is a clear violation of TRAI's rules on MNP.

Dear Sir
i wanted to switch to airtel from idea and for that i have applied for MNP in your Airtel store on 22nd of Jan. After completing all the formalities i have got one sim from your side. i was told that your current no. will be transfer on 7th day and then you need to put this airtel sim in the mobile.Now from here my problem starts,till date i have not recieved any sim changing message on my current sim .when i went to airtel store they say that mnp is not possible in your idea sim.i dont have any unpaid bills because i am using a prepaid number.
Why you people are not starting my services as i have already got the sim from airtel.
