i am a retired bank manager and got re employment as branch manager at one of the branches in delhi with muthoot group on 07-10-2011.my father died at chennai on 13-12-2011 and i had to proceed on leave with out pay.the salary for the month of december 2011 was paid ny the company.i had to go again on 17-01-2012 to 22-01-2012 for settlement of bank accounts and pension issues at chennai . i had applied for leave with out pay much in advance but i did not get any formal sanction from the regional manager till the date of my departure.i proceeded on leave as planned and returned on 23-01-2012. i came to know after my return that my leave was not approved because of some flimsy reason (i did not apply ib a proper format). again i applied in the proper form and requested for sanction of leave with out pay for the period i remained on leave. i dod not get any formal letter in this regard , but i found that the company had blocked my salary with out assigning any reason . i took up the matter with my regional manager,he confirmed that it is blocked for temprory period and it will be released after a week. as it was not released as promised i repeatedly sent mails to RM/GM of the company.there was no reply from any officials in the matter i finally decided if my salary for the month of january 2012 and feb,2012 by ist of march , i will stop going to office , till my salary is paid for the services i rendered to the company. i recieved a letter of termination from GM (HR) DATED12-03-2012/ ,this letter was recieved by me on 16-03-2012.i wrote to GM on the same day to dettle the following:
1)salary for two months
2)trvel expences bill-pending with RM since inception(from 07-10-2011 to 29-02-2012)-appox Rs5000/
3)my original certificates kept with the personal department of the compamy.
the total amount of dues are around Rs50000/ plus interest/which is required to be settled in my favour.the company officials do not reply to my letters and phone calls. i want justice through your forum
