Hi, I stay in Anand Reddy layout, Electronic city-2nd phase.
On 17th Jan 2013, my bike's rear wheel and silencer was stolen at night. The nuts of the front wheel
and the bolts of the engine were also removed.


I stay on the second floor and the bike was parked inside the gate on the ground floor.

I have notified the police in the parappana agrahara police station on 18th morning.(No FIR filed).
Couple of cops visited my place as well and saw the bike.

I inquired with 4 to 5 insurance agents and all of them said that if spares of a two-wheeler get stolen,
the insurane cannot be claimed for that!!
When inquired with the insurance company the agent said I have to submit an FIR copy and Non-traceable
certificate from the police(which police usually doenst give for couple of months and without a lot of hassle
and running around and bribe!!)
And the agent said that even after submitting the above mentioned documents he cannot assure that the claim will be
passed.
What is the point of buying an insurance if such is the procedure....its ridiculous!!!!
