Complaint about Parking of vehicles on both sides of Road inspite of odd/even date parking boards and also on Bus stops; Double Parking; Parallel Parking etc
Location: M C Chhagla Marg, Bamanwada, Sahar, Andheri East, Mumbai.
Problems faced: The road is not very wide. Due to this wrong parking, it is becoming very difficult for pedestrians, specially Sr Citizens , Women and Children to walk on road. Since footpaths are occupied by stalls/handcarts/garbage/litter, pedestrians have to walk in the middle of road and many accidents take place. Also traffic jams take place every now then, disturbing quiet life in the area.

BMC workers are not able to clean the roads daily because of this with the result, area looks dirty.

Further, many a times we have observed that in th parked Rikshaws, people sit and drink Alcohol, and take drugs even during day time , specially at night thus spoiling the atmosphere of the area.

We have complained to Traffic Police as well as Police (Vileparle East) about the problem but no relief is coming. 8/9 years back, we had approached Traffic Police dept and got the odd/even date parking boards installed and for 3-4 years it was properly being monitored. But during last 3-4 years, inspite of complaints and specific visits to Chowkies, no help coming from authorities. When we complain to them, they say we will take care. but no relief at all.

Request authorities to to strictly enforce parking rules and ensure safety of citizens (women/children and Sr citizens) by taking action on drinking and drugs.
