I bought a new 24 inch Onida LED TV from Girias showroom R A Puram in Chennai on 24th December. On 30th December I discovered that the USB drive is not working in the TV.
I raised a complaint with Onida helpline on 31st December. Complaint number is 1312********87
I was informed by the Service Engineer Praveen (service visit on 4th Jan) that the motherboard for USB drive is not working. I demanded a replacement since it was a week old television and was clearly a defective piece.
Ever since then I have been made to run around in circles. I called up the helpline and they didnt have a clue about this and direct me to Velacheri service center. I spoke to the Service Center in-charge Mr. Balasubramaniam and his boss Mr. Munnuswamy who changed their stance time an again.
First I was told they would process the replacement request, then I was told they would replace the part which I refused. I subsequently reported this to the showroom from where I bought it and finally I was assured that I would be given a standby TV and the replacement request would be processed. This assurance was given to me by Mr. Balasubramaniam.
It has been 3 days and no service representative has turned up to provide the standby tv nor did I get a call from anyone about the status of my complaint.
I have never seen such pathetic customer service from any organization. To harass a customer to this extent is simply unpardonable.
I request a speedy resolution of this issue.
