Complaint by: kahn on October 8, 2010, 10:23 am in Mobile Service Providers

Dear Sir / Madam,

There have been unauthorized and unapproved TATA and Airtel mobile towers installed on our building terrace at "Light House, Sitafal Wadi, Mazgaon. Mumbai - 400010".

The towers have been installed in the last 6 months without any kind of approval from the residents or any other local authority. On behalf of the residents of Light House building i would like to file a complaint for relocation of unauthorized hazardous mobile towers.

The towers are within 10-15 meters of our houses and it has affected the health of the residents adversely. We can't bear the Harmful effects of EMR/RFF Radiations which emits from the Mobile Towers.

That kind of Towers not allowed in the Residential Areas which is nearby School and Hospital as per Government Norms.

We have already requested the mobile operators and the land lord but to no avail.

Kindly help us in this regard and we are looking your prompt & positive response.

Thankyou.

Dear Mr Rakesh

Even as the registered complaint awaits action from your side, there were 3 people who visited the mentioned address not to adress the existing issue but to install ANOTHER airtel mobile tower machine on our terrace. When we asked him to show us the authorization for the same, he gave us the same blanket reply, that he did not have any authorization and hence he left without installing the same. However the airtel unauthorized mobile towers already installed remains.

Well Mr. Rakesh i had already sent the below mentioned mail on 13.10.10 on the specified address and since then i was of the idea you would be in the process of relocation already. This confirms that the issue is far from being resolved.

Dear Mr. Rakesh,

There have been unauthorized and unapproved mobile towers installed on our building terrace at "Light House, Sitafal Wadi, Mazgaon. Mumbai - 400010". When inquired with the people who were installing the same, they confirmed that they belong to Airtel mobile network and that the work is with the oral approval of the landlord. However there is no document on record for any kind of permission from any authority that was shown to the tenants on request. Also there was no permission of NOC obtained from tenants who are staying as close as 10 - 15 meters from the terrace as i had mentioned below in my original request for relocation of towers.

Looking forward to a fruitful response from a socially reputed company like airtel

Regards,
Kahn"
