Complaint by: Amit Kumar on June 5, 2010, 4:58 pm in Credit Cards

1. I had called the SBI customer care on 21/05/2010 and had asked all the payable amounts/ charges on my card

2. The Customer rep. (Santosh) had given me below list of charges payable and confirmed

a. 15188.80 Aer Lingus debit
b. 250 Petrol debit
c. 244 Restaurant debit
d. 3326 Cox & Kings debit
e. 4315 Nandi Jewellers debit
f. 250 Joining Fee debit

3. I get a call today 05/06/2010 from SBI Customer care asking me if i was interested to convert amount of Rs. 16427 into EMI !

4. Answering to the rep. i asked what is the amoutn he is refering to, to which he said that it is the AerLingus amount purchase i done some time back

5. Getting shocked to his answer I called SBI customer care and reported the same to the (Nasreen), to which she replied saying I have to pay Rs.16427 and not 15188.80 for the AerLingus purchase and informed earlier on 21/05/2010 by Santosh, SBI customer rep.

6. I told her that Santosh had informed of the charge as Rs.15188.80 and also the other following amounts as given above, She says that he informed wrong and there are transaction charges etc.. which added amounts to Rs.16427

7. I told her that I have given the amount payable and I will pay the same as informed by Santosh, SBI customer rep.

8. To which she says (Nasreen, SBi customer rep.) noting doing and even i was repeating saying there are transaction charges and even after me telling to her repeateadly that the information commuted to me by Santosh is Rs.15188.80 and will will all respect note it payable amount and make and have already made the payment for the same.

9. Even after telling her again and agin . . She says I have to pay the charges, to which started geting annoyed and said to transfer the call to her Manager as she is not understanding or trying to resolve the problem and says I have to pay no reverts or anything/nothing can be done for whats happened

10. She then keeps me on hold and disconnects my call. After 5-10 min I get a call from Santosh (SBI customer rep) from +********7000 trying to tell me Sir the payable amount is not Rs.15188.80 of what he informed me and he agreed to that fact .. after which i told him that i dont want to keep lengthy discussions and wanted to speak to the manager., to which he replied says he will arrange a call back from his manager.

Complainant's Goal: I will only pay the communicated amount of Rs 15580.80 and not Rs 16427
