Dear Sir,

A small summary of my vehicle: TATA MANZA bought on 23rd June 2010.
On Road Price: 6.23 Lakhs
Extra Fittings + fancy number spending: 40,000

MET WITH AN ACCIDENT ON 28th of August 2010 [JUST WHEN IT WAS 65 DAYS OLD]

As my entire family got hurt except me [As I was not travelling with them] I was not able to toe the vehicle from Vellore to Chennai until 10th October 2010. The vehicle was completely damaged.

The toeing of the vehicle was arranged by TATA MOTORS customer support and they referred TATA CONCORDE Ambuthur and BHOOMA near poonamallee. We choose BHOOMA as it was closer and they were ready to accept the car at night 10.PM

Considering the age of the vehicle/damage incurred / Quality of Repair the Workshop recommended a body shell replacement which was rejected by Mr. Ravi [Manager, TATA-AIG].
In this 50 days request for body shell I was humiliated to the core. [Only one of my 10 calls will be attended, I sent atleast 30 mails]
As Mr. Ravi [TATA-AIG] was least bothered about the quality of repair I escalated it to the highest level possible with TATA-AIG.
As Mr.Ravi didn't like this he showed special interest in my case and tried to negotiate lot of things with the work shop. He also arranged something like a auction where he called all his friends from known service centers to get the cheapest estimate.
WORKSHOP CLAIMED THAT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENED. THEY ADVISED ME TO GO WITH OTHER INSURANCES WHO VALUE THEIR CUSTOMER HERE AFTER.
All my initial mails are of no use. Later when ever I asked something I was coolly said that "atmost what you could do is, send a mail. Send it and we are least bothered".
Then I agreed to the repair the vehicle without body shell replacement. But I was told that all necessary parts will be replaced and not repaired.
But now I saw my 2 months old vehicle full of tinkering and welding. Even the doors where a tinkering could make rattling noise are not considered for replacement.
There was a cut in the bumper which I asked for a replacement [I have to bare 50 % as it is a fiber body] which was also denied by insurance. I heard these words from the workshop “WE DON'T KNOW WHY THEY DO IT FOR YOU USUALLY THEY WILL APROVE THIS". Please find the pictured attached
If TATA AIG people say that my car is repaired without any quality compromise let one of they agree to buy my CAR [now 6 months as it was in the workshop for almost 4 months] for 5 Lakhs [25% down price].

My Humble Expectation/Request after all these:

Kindly allow replacement of my rear door and rear bumper.
I need a full car paint as leaving the car with old paint for just 20% will give it a odd look.
Some higher officer who is not partial from TATA-AIG should look after my case and not Mr. Ravi.

I WILL BE SO GRATEFUL AND THANKFUL TO YOU SIR IF YOU COULD HELP ME WITH THESE.

I bought my car with full payment in TATA Concorde Chennai. They never asked me with which insurance company I wanted to go but they chose. Initially I though as both being TATA there will be fast approval and better service. Now I understood that it was not correct. I am not blaming the entire company but just the Chennai zone, ware the employees are not customer friendly and fast workers. I am deeply hurt and was under mental agony for the last 4 months.

I wish to ask the higher management of TATA-AIG whether they have atleast seen any case of this kind.

You can talk to Mr. Hari [Manager Bhooma Automobiles] : ********57 or contact me at 0-********11 for more clarifications.

Please see the pictures attached.

Regards,
Mohan
