i had placed orders for 5 Nos of inflatable sofa with air bed - order No. 113271634 dated 30.08.11
i was supplied only one inflatable sofa -As soon as i received only one piece - i called and lodged complaint
i had to call many times -it took 5 minutes for the customer care official to come to the conclusion that 5 sofas were ordered-
-with continuous followup - balance four sofas were delivered almost after a month of the original date.
While ordering 5 sofas - i asked for concession and 50% reduction in the transportation charges was agreed to.-i was also told that i would be eligible for GC [Gift Coupon] of Rs 250 each for each of the orders -as i was using HDFC credit card EMI for payment of amount.
A sum of rs 23493 was payable for 5 sofas after allowing discount in transportation charges- but the INDIA TIMES had swiped Rs 24490 [6 EMIs of 4081.67]- In fact the IndiaTimes staff called me and told me excess payment has been taken and the order can be cancelled and a fresh order can be given. As i was in a hurry to go for a scheduled meeting - i told them that i will not be replace the order - They then suggested that they will provide GC for the excess amount collected.
i have sent atleast 15 emails to icare@indiatimes.co.in - Then when i wanted the problem to be escalated - i sent email to amit.sharma@indiatimes.co.in - As the mail boxes were full, these emails came back to me . Then again after talking many times to the customer care - i was given email operatophead@indiatimes.co.in - but even this id did not evoke any response.

Every time i speak a new customer care official comes on line -i tell them entire background -it takes 10-15 minutes for them to verify and again i am told that the matter would be attended shortly- but even after 5 months -even if i talk now, the problem starts from the same place and ends without any result.- i have spent more than Rs 1000 on the followup on phone calls itself.

Recently when i spoke to the customer care - he told me that i should send email - i told him that i have sent emails 12-15 times to all ids including operationhead@indiatimes.co.in - i lost control of myself when he said that i should send email -

On top of this i had placed ordered for a mobile phone and a mobile charger- the payments were made using hdfc credit card
113407231 and redemption of GC - but after 3-4 weeks when i called them to find out the position of the orders - i was told the orders have been cancelled -They did not care to intimate me of the cancellation of the order - In the process one GC which was used for redemption was also not usable now.

1. i have not received GC for purchase of 5 sofas using HDFC CREDIT CARD.
2. i have not received refund of Rs 997 - either in cash or GC.
3. i want reimbursement of my telphone charges of Rs 1000 and compensation for the delay in refund and also totally inefficient service .
