Service - Dissatisfied with Maruti Product and Dealer service after Sales‏

I own a Maruti WagonR Vxi ( MH02 BJ 7308 ). I am facing serious problems with this car and not getting proper guidence from the dealer Autovista workshop in Santacruz for the same.

There is some leakage in the vehicle and the carpet of my car is becoming wet again and again inspite of no rains and is stinking very badly. It is becoming difficult for me to drive with the dirty odour.

I had taken the car today to the AUTOVISTA dealer to show the same and without any proper analysis and check I was told that the part below the wiper has got rusted and will have to be patched or repaired and the total minimum expense would be 5000/- in case it is repaired and if replaced then 15,000/-. Kindly note that the car is 4 years plus old and just driven 10500 kms approx.

In such a short time if the interior body parts are getting rusted, I am in a worry about the quality of the product that was being sold to me.

I spoke to the Manager at Autovista Mr. Sanjeev in the Santacruz workshop of Autovista and it was like it would be 5000/- minimum of such a small leakage without checking the same properly. When wanted to go with the complaint to the General Manager Mr. Surve who was also present there at the office, I was told by the receptionist that he is busy in a meeting and will not be able to meet me at that time and I was told to wait.

At the time when the complaint needs to be taken higher up the management person is not available to hear the same. This is the Senior Management at Autovista.

I am looking at some proper compensation for the same.

To bring to your notice, I was at a certified garage since morning and have seen that the windsheild is not fitted properly which I had got replaced in February this year. There was water coming from the right hand side of the windsheild like when water is opened in a tap.


A new windsheild was fitted from the AutoVista workshop and we see a leakage in there. This is the kind of service and fitting are done for the vehicles that are given at Autovista.

Also as per initial mail from Mukund Menon the Territory Service had mentioned that Mr. Amol Surve would call me and speak to me on this but till date no call from him. Today when I called up the workshop and managed to get Mr. Surve's number, he was not responding my calls and also till now I have not received even a courtesy call back.

This is a serious problem and needs to be taken care on priority on immediate basis.

An early revert with be highly appreciated, by Monday I would forward this to the Consumer Forum with a copy to the Times of India.
