I am using Vodafone postpaid connection in Navi Mumbai. My monthly average bill comes around Rs 900-1000. This is OK when I am using it.
Since Feb 2013 last week on wards , I have stopped using the Vodafone services since my phone is in roaming. I am not receiving any call nor I am doing so. I wanted to continue the postpaid service as I would be back to my place ie Navi Mumbai in 6-7 months. But these Vodafone people are now also posting a bill of nearly 1000 bucks every month. Even in the bill, it is clearly mentioned that there are no roaming calls neither inward nor outward. They are charging about 600-700 bucks every month for internet charges which also I am not using. If I am not using phone on account of roaming , why would I use internet on it???
When I inquired about the erratic bill, they told me that since you are using Nokia E72, it will keep on updating itself and therefore the bill rises. Do they think, customer is a fool??? A phone will use 700 Rs on updates??? Even when I have switched off all updates.
If this was correct, i had put my sim in a basic Micromax mobile with no internet facilities in it. A simple and the most basic phone.
Now the shocker, bill exceeds 1000 bucks.
These fools are not at all monitoring the usage and posting an average bill every month depending on the earlier usage.
I have broken my head a thousand times for this on customer service calls and mail communications. They do not have a proper reason for this???
I would like to highlight that VODAFONE is fooling customers in this way. They don not have set their house in order and asking customers to pay on wrong bills. Even the Govt of India is after them on taxation issues. Crores of taxes are unpaid by them and they are recovering from its customers in stupid ways.

No Regards,
Prateek Malviya, Navi Mumbai.

Complainant's Goal: The bills paid by me in last 3-4 months should be refunded back to me.

One ms. Mayuri called from 022-******** called and said that we cannot clear your dues because it has been more than 30 days. Consumer is asking to clear the air since May but they are still not willing to give the break up. If I have not used Internet, why should I pay. It is as simple as that. I have already spend more amount on phones and complaint calls than the amount i want the refund. Vodafone's attitude is like" Hum to paisa waapas nahin karenge..jo karna hai kar lo"

Are you willing to refund my paid bills or not?? Why should I pay for internet usage when i have not used it. You have charged 1000 rs for updates on a phone. Do you really want to settle the case or not. You are beating around the bush since last 4 months and not listening to my genuine calls. 535 is not the only amount. You have to check my last 3 paid bills and remove internet charges from these bills. You are not at all ready to share the break up of data usage. Do you think consumer is a fool? When I have not used the data, why should I pay for it.

But I had paid about Rs 550 in last 3 bills as unused internet charges and you are crediting only for one month. Check my last 3 paid bills, You will find GPRS plan remained unused and data was captured from other service provider on roaming. This was inspite the fact that I had changed the settings of my set with the help of your customer care. This is really serious, thats why I want to clear the air....people never ask about their usage and telecom providers take undue advantage of this. If you see the KB break up and source of data usage, you can find this...

So guys, the vicious cycle to harass the consumer has started gain. A lady called me up and told that we would be waivingoff the excess amount back to you. Then, after few days, a gentleman called up and said we are putting the waived amount in next bill. what is going on? The lady herself told that it is fault on Vodafone's side. Again, I am saying I am being charged Rs 1000 monthly on my postpaid Vodafone when the phone is kept in Drawer of my almirah and nobody is using it. Can anyone listen. "Kind attention to Mr. Kapil Sibbal"--Sir, fines imposed on vodafone are recovered like this from end users. Please do something and bring a law to table.

Your weblink does not accept complain more than 300 characters. What do I write??
See this is the way you pass the buck. Instead of solving a problem, you start a vicious cycle of complaint launch and offer no solution. Start arranging some 100s of Crores for taxes unpaid by you. Its your turn after Bharti Airtel. Dont recover unrealistic dues from customer because of your wrong deeds.
