I only want a formal acknowledgement of the closure of my account (Mobile num - ********10) and save myself from legal hassles since the pending dues for my connection are already paid at my local Vodafone store last month.

There had been a legal notice being sent to my residence based on cheque that was not respected because of my precise instructions, not to respect the cheque, to my bank.

To sum up the issue -
a. Vodafone had charged me on GPRS usage. I had requested closure of GPRS usage on my number and have got request numbers as well. This was because my mobile had a technical snag because of which I was unable to disable the GPRS gate ways. And as such, despite my residence having a powerful Wi-fi conenction, my mobile instrument was using Vodafone GPRS services, without me knowing, rather than my Wi-fi conenction.
b. To settle the issue, an executive from Vodafone came to my residence in my absence and pleaded to my wife that Vodafone respects my opinion - point a and requested my wife to part with a cheque as a part of closure process - insisting cheque would not be deposited. If this is not fraudulent then what is?
c. Since I had not got any formal acknowledgement for point b, I formally instructed my bank not to respect the cheque.
d. Vodafone filed a case on the basis of issued Cheque not respected. It should have filed a case on pending dues instead. This is immoral since cheque was collected by wrong means.
d. Tired of legal notices, I decided to pay up once for all. Again I was told by the local Vodafone executive that a formal acknowledgment of payment, legal notice being withdrawn and this relationship being closed would be formally sent to my email id. Again, this turned up to be an empty promise.
e. Forget point d, so far nobody has even bothered to respond to my mail sent on 22 November.

This just proves, Vodafone just want to stay technically correct, morals and ethics better be discarded to garbage bin.

Now that they have succeeded in recovering the pending dues from me, kindly request to get some one from Vodafone to acknowledge final closure of this nightmarish relationship - no 1.4791460.

Complainant's Goal: To get Vodafone formally acknowledge the closure of my account.

In reply to Vodafone India (Vodafone Mumbai) ---

Hello,

I guess 24 hours have long gone past and I still haven't got a confirmation on the status of pending dues on my account.

The legal notice I had got from Vodafone instructs me to attend the court on 29th Dec for this case and I don't understand why I should be attending legal matters when I have made the payment a month back and informed you guys of the same.

Thanks,
Jatin
