Re : Mobile No : ********43
1. I am a postpaid Vodafone Customer and been having the above number since early 2002 .
2. I had applied for portability from Vodafone to Reliance vide Unique Porting Code ( UPC ) VM244248 dated April 2 , 2011 .
3. I submitted my form for Portability to Reliance ( Suman Nagar Branch ) on April 2 nd .
4. This application was rejected correctly by Vodafone on April 4 th as my bill was outstanding . I paid the bill amount on April 5 th and subsequently visited Vodafone Shop on the same day for initiating the porting to Reliance – I was told by the Customer Support personnel that since the bill was paid , I should approach Reliance to resubmit the porting application .
5. I visited the Reliance shop on April 6 th for requesting them to resubmit the porting request as suggested by Vodafone – unfortunately this time I encountered a new Customer Support staff who told me that I had to submit a new request and I was not adequately prepared for the same .
6. I was not in station for about two weeks and subsequently obtained new unique porting code VM 264724 dated April 20 , 2011 and the same day revisited the Reliance Shop at Suman Nagar – this time the first customer support personnel was there and I was told that a fresh application was not necessary and that the first UPC VM 244248 was valid and that Reliance would resubmit the application the same day i.e. April 20 , 2011 which was done .
7. Ever since I requested a UPC I have been inundated by calls from Vodafone asking for the reason for porting out . I am surprised by such calls as I was pleading with Vodafone from December 2010 to consider my request on reduced charges while roaming – I wrote to them a few times and each time I got a response by mail and phone calls that nothing can be done . I also visited the Vodafone Shop at Ghatkopar and pleaded with them and I was told by one Shreeniwas that nothing can be done and when I told them I was left with no option but to port out he said I was free to do so and the same message was given to me from Vodafone HO in response to my mails . Fine ! so I thought I will not have any problem in porting out .
8. But after I applied for porting out I got several calls from Vodafone and one Kripa Shankar Tiwari called me for the third time today . Each time he called I requested him to read my mails and that the decision to port was not sudden and it was because Vodafone could not help me on roaming tariff - he said he would get back after reading my mail and has not done so for the third time . I have written to Nodal Officer Rashna. N and appellate authority Jacqueline Mundkur Vodafone enquiring on the status of my porting application but my mails have not elicited any response . I am surprised that Vodafone does not have time to read my mails but are successful so far ( it is a more than a month now ) in preventing my porting out .
9. I request you to help me to port out of Vodafone .
10. After I made this complaint I got the following response from Vodafone on May 25 th :

I think ur issue is quite true. They hopelessly call again and again. But, Nodal Officers and Appellete Authority respond to mails as far as my knowledge coz im fighting a 3G stick issue with vodafone and if they wont resolve asap i ll pull them to consumer court.
