Team,
I am a loyal customer of Vodafone (formerly known as Hutch), with the number +********9448, for the past 2.5 years appx. I insisted on hanging on to this service provider inspite of repeated attempt from my friends to change the same, as i was happy with its service.
I have to inform you with the deepest disappointment towards the Vodafone professional approach that inspite of the written communication provided via appended mail by me on 24-May-2010 for cancelling all the direct debits on all the mobile numbers owned by me.
Vodafone had provided in writing to me (refer the mail attached below) for cancelling all the direct debit facility on 05th June, 2010. Inspite of the same, recently I have noticed that Vodafone is illegally charged my Credit Card on 09th September, 2010 for the last month's outstanding bill amounting to INR 1,167/- vide bill no 000000010001838354 (mobile no ********48) which has a due date of 12th September, 2010. Also note that I had already issued the cheque of INR 1,300/- towards the same which I updated Vodafone via message facility (please check your system if required).
On the same day (9th September, 2010 @ appx 7.30 pm) I called up Vodafone help line (111) & asked for clarification, on the same the representative denied that Vodafone have not receive any request for cancelling the direct debit facility for the said number (********48). I also informed that with this number, I had also put the request for cancelling the direct debit facility on all the other numbers owned by myself. To which the representative did not say anything & kept my phone on long hold. After some time I asked him to transfer the line to the Store Manager (Supervisor available) when I did not receive any convincing response from the representative who was handling my call.
Post which the Supervisor came on the line & he informed me that the request was put from my side however, it did not action from their side since May, 2010 for one number i.e. ********48. On demanding the clarification the supervisor did not provide me with the justification & asked me to put a separate request mail again for cancelling direct debit facility which I clearly rejected & asked the person to transfer the funds on immediate basis. To which supervisor told me that the funds transfer will happen in 7 working days, to which I opposed & asked him that the company takes the money in advance (i.e 3 days prior to the due date in Direct Debit inspite its cancelled) & when its a refund case then it takes 7 working days. Which was completely unethical for the company like Vodafone. This is also to be added that that the supervisor was not at all polite in speaking to me & could not provide the justification.
This incidence has caused me a lot mental depression 1) because Vodafone illegally charged my Credit Card inspite of facility cancelled; (2) The company did not refund back the money debited from my credit card on immediate basis; (3) Providing wrong information to the customer & again guiding the customer to write a request again to hide the mistake done by Vodafone; (4) My Blood pressure had gone up when the call was on; & last but not the least (5) I did not receive the proper justification for the carelessness done by Vodafone at the end of my phone call.
I require the following to be done from Vodafone ASAP.
I demand an immediate transfer of the amount debited to the Credit Card with the prevailing interest in the market
I demand a written apology letter from Vodafone confirming that the same will not be repeated in the future again
