IRCTC Indian Railways - Booking tatkal ticket by irctc not possible on opening day between 8am to 9am (ID # 1284)

I support this complaint. The agents can very easily book tatkal tickets, they charge up to 300 Rs per seat extra.

If I suppose that 50% of this goes to railway employees from mamta banerjee to the booking counter baboo, this means that every train has around 30% of the seats reserved for tatkaal

Around 30 % of 80 * 15 seats thats 255 seats per train * no of trains which i am supposing to be 5000

its 255 * 5000 * 300 = 382500000, thats 38 Crores daily.

Who would not like to earn this much daily

My name sunilkumar.H.K form banglore sir two days before i was in need of a tatkal ticket as m working in banlgore so i tried to book it from my office. morning 7.30 today but i found some error massege so how many days before it\'s possiable, booking the ticket.

few days before i was in need of a tatkal ticket as m working in pune. so i tried to book it from my office.but i found it out of work for 8 to 9am.
if the railway server is down then how can the agent book the ticket from there offices.

I support this complaint. There are agents charging double the ticket amount. IRCTC has done a great service by introducing IT in ticket bookings. They should look into this problem on priority for the sake of common man.

I support this complaint. This site is pathetic btw 8:00 and 9:00. I wanna go frm Delhi to Varanasi day after tomorrow. But now I will not be able to make it since I have not got my tickets. There is no mean of other transport(Bus) from Delhi - Varanasi. The only option is Train which is cost effective. I sloke to a agent this morning he is 99% sure to give me a ticket. How? Tatkal facility is the passenger or for the agent? Can the Government look into this please? Would appriciate if this issue is fixed. Hope there are lot of people facing this problem. Thanks

I am not only support this complaint, I have also seen in railway reservation office ticket also vanish within 10-15minutes. Brokerage charges on each passenger from 300 to 600 according to demand of that ticket. My question is that \"is the railway system is for people or brokerage?\" Can honorable railway minister reply this! Is there any clarification regarding this problem? I am waiting for rational answer!

I support this complaint. Performance of this site is really bad between 8:00 a.m. to 9.a.m.
You can\'t even login into the site until and unless all the tatkal tickets are gone.

What the hell is this. I logged into the site at 7:55 a.m. and everything was working fine. I planned my trip and then clicked ok at 8:01 a.m. for booking tatkal ticket and the site hanged. This is happeninng everyday.
Can anybody tell, if nobody can login into the site at this time then who is booking the tickets? Are they all agents? Is this time allocated to agents only?

I support this complaint. And somebody in this forum said that he is agent and he know some tricks of using this site during rush hours. My question to that guy as well as IRCTC, whether this site is built and operated for AGENTS like this? How a normal person will know this tricks? and why to use Tricks I don\'t understand....this is not a reality show where you will get fame and money out of it. This is ridiculus. My humble request to that MASTER AGENT who knows the tricks, that you and your IRCTC make money out of it no prob. But at least provide your services to common man like us then it will really help otherwise one day, any new transport system will be introduced and you people will beg for money.....I bet on this....

I support this complaint. IRCTC should open booking tatkal after One hour for agents as they have seperate proxy which can get enormous access to server. For users they should first come first server basis, for that they need to improve the technology they used to access server. For example they can use queue system and display what is their number in the queue. This will stop all mess as transparency is there

I had always been a hater of the Indian government. But they are not to blame..The actual blame is on the people who make up the organization. I am not making remarks just like every other person on corruption. What I mean to say is that the RACE that makes up the Indian population is that of inferior blood.

I have observed that between 8 am to 9am, availability of website is almost rare. Even if one LOGIN in successfully then it will be Impossible for him to book the ticket. But as soon as time passes beyond 9 am, picture becomes different, one can easily book the ticket.
Now, the real question is that IF IRCTC IS NOT ABLE TO GIVE THE TICKET THEN WHY THIS SITE IS PRESENT NOW?

I support this complaintMostly one would get wl ticket when booking online. They have improve their server bandwidth(I think).
