IRCTC Indian Railways - Booking tatkal ticket by irctc not possible on opening day between 8am to 9am (ID # 1284)

Based on past two years of booking online tickets through Indian Railways online booking system by its website irctc, I have observed that between 8 am to 9am, availability of website is almost rare. Even if one logs in successfully then it will be Impossible for him to book the ticket. But as soon as time passes beyond 9 am, picture becomes different, one can easily book the ticket. Ya its TRUE.. Booking a Tatkal ticket is becoming Nightmare and something should be straighten out by the Indian Railways..

Because i try using irctc web page, a tatkal ticket of garibrath express from kasaragod to ltt, i search after 8.00 clock tatkal availbility is regret wl/1, before tataly tatkal seat is 173 but the time 8.07 is regret wl/1 what a complaint

yes very true. i would like to add that it is case on daily basis. when ever i tried to open website of irctc for tatkal booking it will not open and even if open all the tickets gets full.
even one day i was standing in queue hoping that alteast i will get ticket but to my surprise by the time i reach to get the tickets it was all booked.
Now what shoudl the common man should do. agents grabbed money from us unnecessarily by paying additional 150 rupees.
Indian rail should looked into matter very seriously to avoid such negligence.

I support this complaint. and i know that this fix curuption between Railway's Officer and Agent of PRS Counter. IRCTC is helpless of general public. it has limitation for booking. In Tatkal booking Indian Railway not support on IRCTC's site. i face so many times online error after payment deduct form bank. this is true that Indian Railway Means 100% curruption. no daught about it. so general public can request only.

I support this complaint. The site doesnt work untul 9 am at surprisingly tickets are never available when it starts. But they are available with the touts?? High time the scam is investigated...

I am customer having regular practices of purchasing the product online and I have very good experience with lots of websites all over the world. There are few of the website across the world running who are serving millions of people in a day with their services and running without single problem and for that they are accepting best resources and valuable caring department in backend of the website.

While if you try to use the IRCTC who is providing online railway ticket booking in India is having the most poor resources and having bulk of accessing bugs during site usages.
Even if one logs in successfully then it will be Impossible for him to book the ticket. But as soon as time passes beyond 9 am, picture becomes different, one can easily book the ticket.

Now, the real question is that because of above problem one can not book the tatkal or normal ticket on opening day. So, ultimately one had to depend on agents, who charge upto Rs200.00 for every tatkal ticket, thereby wasting my hard earned money in brokerages. This shows a nexus between agents and Railway people.
