IRCTC Indian Railways - Booking tatkal ticket by irctc not possible on opening day between 8am to 9am (ID # 1284)

I support this complaint. It is nasty by IRCTC not to upgrade this service by incresing demand of the consumers.

I support this complaint. Especially during festive season, its impossible to book a ticket in TATKAL, there days agents are demanding 300 rs just for sleeper class, if it comes to upper class, it becomes more than 500.

By the time you search for the available ticket it will through an error or session expire.IRCTC SO SLOW SITE FOR BOOKING

I hardly got chance to book a ticket. Especially in the mornings as you said. It will be always down from 8 to 8:30 AM.

Warning: Don't even think of booking your tatkal tickets through IRCTC. Just when you try to book a tatkal ticket at 8:00 am, the service becomes unresponsive and is only back on after all the tatkal tickets have been stolen.

Moreover, if you try booking a tatkal ticket through one of the other travel sites, for eg, yatra.com, after entering your details you are ridiculed by a msg that you can not book tatkal tickets between 8:00 am to 9:00 am.

No wonder we are 87th on the 2010
corruption list.

I support this complaint 101%.IRCTC is really a **** application when it comes to tatkal booking.
How come the managers/developers/programmers/DBAs etc.of this site didn't anticipate the rush they could face in a place
like INDIA for tatkal booking while creating this site.
Google is handling more than million connections at a given moment of time ,so technically speaking it is possible(may not to the level of Google ,but YES it is possible),if they are giving this crap reason.
The IRCTC site is one of those points,which are a direct connect between people and government and actually reflects how much government is serious about the conveniences and grievances of AAM ADMI.

Shame on Indian railways and Indian government.

I bet if IRCTC was controlled by some private player ,it would have been a different story altogether and people would not be complaining at some forum like this.

I support this complaint. everytime i book thru internet for tatkaal i go really emotional!!! i have to waste 1 hr from 8 - 9 and be late to office !! i hope sum human being in irctc considers this seriously!!

I support this complaint. I too have faced this problem many times... It is a very big head ache to irctc users..
