In July 09, after a lot convincing done by telemarketing guy, I purchased 2 sets of books each costing Rs 2598. I was told that along with this I will get free air ticket and 3 nights/2day hotel accomodation for couple and one child.
I have received the books but now I am told that to claim free gift I have to log on to www.bookstoday.in/promos.htm. I need unique promotion number to key in to claim the free gift. There is no unique promotion number given on the invoice. The only mention on invoice is Login web ID, which if I key in comes with error - You have made incorrect entries. Kindly check and enter once again !!!

ITBC | Fraudsters and Cheats | Proposal for a Class Action Suit

I am Sujata Garimella.
Like you, I too trusted the India Today name and had ordered stuff from ITBC. My experience was awful. I did not get what I ordered for. I did not get the promised "extras". And I did not get any solution either.
This whole nightmare started in September 2009 for me.
To top it all they still keep calling me.
I plan to sue them for Rs. 10 lakhs. I have started an action against them and would like more victims of ITBC's dirty tricks to join in because there is a lot of strength in numbers.

Like you and me there are lakhs of other victims of ITBC's malpractices. There is a link in the web page above that will take you to a list of the sites on which people have complained. I request you to take the time and send at least 50 of them this mail and ask them to send it forward.
That way we can reach the maximum number of people in the shortest period of time and quickly initiate legal proceedings.
I hope we have 10,000 people and then, if not getting the money we can at least ensure that the company closes down.

i have purchased a philips dvd player for Rs 3498 and ur customer care representative had told me that i have got 3 gifts one is reebok sun glass, holiday voucher and a round trip air ticket but as i received the order i receiced the reebok sunglass and a dvd player and i sent the form for holiday voucher on 3rd feb but i didn't get the air ticket and till the date i didn't received the response from them regarding the holiday voucher from there side and for the air ticket they simply got refused that there is no agreement between us for the air ticket..
