I had purchased Sony Xperia Z1 for Rs 39999.00 online from Next Retails India Ltd on 05.10.2013 wide invoice no 3********8. After few days I found that handset was not working properly. I had contacted above vendor in the last week of October who told me to wait for some times as they were arranging repair of the handset. Thereafter when I contacted them again and again they have gained time saying every time, the set will be repaired or replaced within 2/3 days. On my last call on 17/12/2013, they advised me to contact Sony service center. I was surprised on their behavior who have wasted our more than two months.On 19/12/2013 I had personally visited Sony’s authorized service center M/s J P Electronics, sector -7, Rohini, Delhi. They have repaired set. When I use it I found that the problem was persisting. I again visited service center two times. On each occasion they have told me that standby set was not available with them. Lastly on 09/ 09/ 2014, I again visited them, taken my set and asked me to wait for one hour. After One hour they returned my set saying the set is out of warranty due to LIQUID LOGGED.I totally surprised without my signature there prepared job set and decided my handset is out of warrant, Job No W1140********
This analysis was hypothetical to gain time to make the set more than one year old to avoid warranty.
I therefore request the world renowned brand (SONY) company to look into the matter as why I should be punished by purchasing SONY make mobile when so many brands were available in the market? I have trust in Sony brand.
My uncle a senior executive in Hindustan Times advised me to first directly mail my complaint to the company who is an International brand before availing other options including Media.
