Samsung India - Poor response from samsung service centre chennai

I bought a samsung I8 camera in july 2008 and due to some problem i was not able to switch on the camera after 1 year of use. Since i had 2 years of warranty for it, i gave it for repair the defective part to samsung service centre chennai on 26th Dec 2009.

From that time i am facing a horrible experience with the samsung service centre. Initially they told me that the service engineer was on a training and will be back after 10 days.

Then i called them on jan 2nd week, they told me that the problem is with the circuit board which needs to be replaced and they don\'t have the stock of the spare currently. Since they have some problem in their application server in which they use to order the spares(i don\'t think this is meaningful in customer point of view) they will not be able to place the order for spare immediately.

How ever i again called them on feb 1st week. but this time they came up with a different answer. They don\'t have this spare available anywhere in INDIA and it has to come from KOREA. Again 2 weeks passed and when i get back to them they still told me that spare had not arrived.Until this point of time i was communicating with Service engineer Mr. Arun.

Then i escalated it to the next level ( i don\'t remember his name to whom i spoke).He Assured me that i will get the camera in a week time. But even after 10 days there was no response, i have to call them again and they told the board is replaced but there is now problem with the shutter for which the spare has to come from Delhi. So i have to again wait for 1 more week but even after that i didn\'t get a prompt response.

Finally on march 26th(three months after i gave it for service) i called them again. i lost all my patience and escalated to the next level.I think he is the service Manager and his name is Manoj. He also assured me that i will get my camera in a week time.but it\'s the same old story again.

When i am logging this complaint i got a call from service centre (This is the first time they have called me in the past 3 months). saying that the spare is still not arrived and i will get the camera in 2 days.

I lost all my patience and this will be my last samsung product. I am writing this complaint to get a compensation for my belonging also no other person should suffer like this. I don\'t understand why it\'s taking 3 and half months to replace a defective part and still i have not received my camera.

I support this complaint. I have a similar problem with the washing machine. Its almost a month, and I am still under warranty. I have been talking to various people who promise, but don't deliver. In short the service of samsung in chennai is the most lousiest. I can give all the details to anyone who wishes to know about my case. I am really upset with them and its so unfortunate that samsung does not have proper service centre in chennai. I really want to throw the damn washing machine which is fully automatic and front loading. I have learnt a good lesson. Never buy samsung. And next time I will check out the kind of after service with friends before leaping to buy it.

We have purchased the Samsung washing machine from Rathna stores T.nagar - chennai on 14th june 2010.. bill no : 9511 dtd : 14.06.2010 model : samsung f/auto 80D5. amount rs.9800/-.. Subsequently we registered with samsung toll free 1********1 for demo on 16th july. Person from samsung came on 18th and found out that there was a broken parts inside the washing machine (filter) and he said u can complaint to samsung customer care and they will replace it.. Then i gave complaint to toll free and person one Mr. raju came and checked the machine and said we will replace it. but you have to submit the duplicate copy to our Dr. Radhakrishna salai office and told us to meet mr. rajagopal ( team leader ) or Mr. chandrasekar ( manager ) .. My husband went there on 22nd morning and handed over the Xerox copy of the bill and they said it will be done in max 4 days.. When he called up customer care on Saturday ( means 5th day ) afternoon.. There was a lethargic reply from customer care that we don’t have stock.. it will take another 10 days.. if u want, u can speak to ********... But bell was going on.. No response.. After all these ……… today i called up customer care and shouted.. As usual they said it will be done today.... but till 9.30 pm now. No response.....
What is this.. Is this is the way you treat the customer?
If I don’t get any response / replacement of the whole system in 24 hrs ..........i don’t want the system, i will thorough the system in front of your office and give a complaint to consumer court....
It is very bad experience for us.. And we will not use or recommend Samsung product in our life...
