Acer India - poor quality of acer 4740 LED screen.

I bought a acer 4740 laptop from Croma in april 2010, with high expectations of a good quality product. I was using the laptop regularly. Hardly 5 months later after using it I closed it. When i switched it on the next day there was a oval shaped black patch on the left side (top) and the entire left side was covered with coloured lines instead of the proper screen, while the right side screen was normal. The laptop was taken to the Croma showroom in Mount road, Chennai where it was bought. I was asked to contact your call centre for making complaints. Thereafter I was instructed to take it to a service centre in Anna nagar. There I once again contacted the call centre. The service centre personnel inspected the laptop and after inspection he reported that this does not come under warranty.
hence I'm writing this complaint to address my following grievances
- this problem was not due to any fault of mine. this can be seen as there are no scratches or external damages.
- the damage is internal for which the customer cannot be held responsible.
- this damage is due to poor quality of your display unit. hence it is proper for Acer India to replace it free of cost considering the above stated reasons.
I have handed over the laptop to the service centre under protest saying that I'm taking up this matter with the company, so that the repair will be done free of cost. Expecting a good and positive reply so that my grievance will be addressed at the earliest .

a vertical line appeared on my screen when i switched on my screen and this line increasing by daily. why it happens?
