Our 55" LED T.V., Home Theater and Sound Bar- all of Samsung Brand -purchased in end of 2011, went on standby mode in the same instance last week. The Samsung Technicians (from different departments) confirmed that all 3 items got spoilt due to Voltage Fluctuation at the same time. We also have 2 LG T.V.s which were operating at the same time (one of these is attached to the Samsung Sound Bar) and which were not affected by that fluctuation, or any other electronic for that matter. So, ONLY Samsung electronic equipments, 3 of them, were affected. Now they claim that the Screen Panel and Mother Board of the T.V. have to be replaced, at a cost of Rs. 52000, which is ONE-THIRD the original cost of the TV! The Panel was already changed once before due to internal fault within 1 month of purchase of the TV . Now within 2 years, such expensive items, all 3 belonging to Samsung have developed major faults. Samsung installation team had assured us that there was no need to attach Voltage Stabilisers at time of installation of these items. So, it proves that Samsung uses sub-standard components and the consumers have to pay the 'Price'!
I feel the above complaint is similar to my case also, but i have 64" plasma TV and TV stays in standby mode, for which samsung had changed parts twice in warranty period and now exactly after 5 months of warranty period the same problem persists. Today they are telling they don't have parts and they may not get the parts. After seeing the above complaint i find that Samsung TV are of not good quality and face similar problem. I was shocked to know from the service centre that they will pay me depreciated value and when i asked why they never came back, for the product problem why i should be penalised.
I clearly agree with his comment. same problem for me. they are asking huge amount to replace it. Bad service by them
