Around 2 years back, I bought Sony KDL- 40EX720 Led tv from Singapore.
The tv had developed some display issue. We called up Sony service center located at Panvel. They visited our house and had a good look at it and concluded that the problem could be fixed by replacing the complete display panel and it will cost around 27000. We paid the money and the service guy took the tv to the service center.
After few inquiry and follow up's we were informed that display panel for EX -720 is not available in market as Sony has absoluted this product last year. After a month we got back the money. The tv was also returned but this time it was not worth a watch. The tv had developed sever new problems. The display was completely affected and more than 60 % of screen could not display a picture.
Above all this, we were advised to buy a new Sony tv as this tv cannot be further repaired.
Every year Sony keeps launching new TV models and thus absolutes old models and their spare parts. Which means for any malfunction the only option left with customer is to again invest thousands of rupees and go for a new one.
Is this the way a big brand like Sony should serve their customers? I guess, this would be the last time I invested in Sony.
I am expecting some good solution to my problem. Let me know the way further.

I am also facing problem in my Sony LED.
When you complaint they first visit your hom e and takes Rs 200 to tell you the problem. After that they takes 600 fixed money for servicing.
It is very difficult for a medium class family to afford it.
Sony quality is good but servicing is BAD. Sony must need to work upon his servicing department.
I will not refer anybody to buy Sony product.
