SONY India - Frustrating Service without outcome

Hi All,

I bought a Sony Bravia 40 EX 65 and facing an issue in servicing.
My service request number is 15699079.
I raised a Complaint on 17th Sep, and a person came from Vigneshwar services Bangalore for checkup and he told panel has gone.

After 1 week time on 23rd September, A person named Madhu came back saying the Panel is not available in the Sony factory. Then he asked me to provide the bill copy and I gave it on the same day, then he told he is sending this to Delhi team and told me to wait for 2 days.

I only called him back after 3 days and on 27th September he mentioned that the Alternate solution(W650/W670 with Extra money) is they will replace my TV and he asked me which model he want and I have given W650 option on the same day, then again he told he will send the person on Saturday to collect the Acceptance letter signed from me.

I kept calling Madhu whole day to send the person, when I call him at at 1PM, he mentioned that he will come back on 4 PM, i called him at 4 PM , he told he will send a person by 6.30 PM, then again I only called at 6.30 PM, he told he will send by 8 PM and then I called the technician only at 8 PM, he mentioned he has gone to some other area since my home is near to his home, he told he will come before he close the day for work by 9.30 PM. After all frustrations he came at 9PM and took the signature.
Our Family member finally took a breath after 2 weeks that finally the TV will be working at our Home.

But to our Unfortunate may be choosing this Sony Service, On 30th September, I have only called the Service to update on my status, Madhu called me and mentioned the W650 which he opted me is not available and he told me to take w670 by paying additional money. I told we dont have additional money to pay for any higher model and I need the same model or W650. He then told he will take 2 more days to check for this from Sony.

Am not sure how many more days they will drag, This is how it goes with the Sony Service, Monday they call and tell 2 days they need for solution, Friday they give some inconvincible solution and drag the whole week.

I am successfully completing 3rd week without TV for choosing the Sony Brand and unempathetical Services from Sony, hoping I will be able to complete 50 days with the help of Sony service without having a TV working in this modern world.I bought it for 63000 and if i ask the Service team they are not transparent at all. please guys think before anything you take. Service is the most important before you buy a product, so check and go for it.

The standard solution i get from the Service centre is Sony Delhi team has to come back or management has to come back and they never understand the customer pain.

I communicated through Sony Toll free, Service centers, Sony support and all other ways daily atleast I need to spend my money for a worthless response from them.

My last option is, I am going to sell my Sony tv for cheap rate and going to purchase Samsung.

I am facing a similar problem with my DVD home theatre system. My DVD (Model DAV-DZ310) started giving me a 'Push Power' error. I placed a complaint with Sony and the technician came and said 3 ICs need to be replaced and took the DVD. After a week the technician brought the DVD but it would only play VCDs, whenever a DVD is inserted the message 'Cannot Play' appeared. The technician took it back to repair it and now it has been a month and there is no response from them nor the Sony even after calling several times and writing e-mails. The service of Sony is PATHETIC!!! with unqualified people trying to repair products they do not understand!
