Complaint by: Ashish on July 20, 2010, 5:29 am in Consumer Electronics

Dear concerned,

I purchased a new window "SAMSUNG" AC (model AW121ZA/2010) on 11 April 2010 from Reliance Hypermart Ltd, Gurgaon.

The following are the specific details of the AC:

SAMSUNG BP no. ********10
Model: Samsung AC model AW121ZA/2010
Date of purchase: 11 April 2010

Place of purchase: Reliance Hypermart Ltd, Gurgaon
Purchase price: Rs 14,000.12
Article code no 4********
Sales order no 55800177
POS Receipt no. 00********
Delivery note no. ********
Name of purchaser: Ashish Prasad

A defective new AC was supplied which is not working since the date of installation. The call for replacement was registered with Reliance Hypermart from where the AC was purchased, who then forwarded the complaint to Samsung Service Center. There has been no action from Samsung till date. Even after calling at least hundred times at the Samsung call center no 30308282, 1********1, there has been no response from Samsung, except for useless assurances that the replacement is under process. Many a times the Samsung Service Center/ Call Center is clueless about the trail of my complaint and I have to re-register my complaint during those times which means that the process has to redone time and again without of any avail. The entire summer has passed without using the AC and I have undergone tremendous mental torture and unbearable summer heat of Delhi which is reflected in my writing this complaint at 4 AM (in the night). The feeling of helplessness is so frustrating, knowing that the entire hard earned amount of Rs 14,000 has gone down the drain along with the sweat and pain of suffering in the heat.

I request the concerned to take necessary 'serious' action so that my money is refunded with due compensation for mental and physical harassment from Samsung. Hope that Samsung personnel also undergo similar kind of torture as
mine and they should be brought to justice.

Regards,
Ashish Prasad

It seems that Samsung believes in making fool of people as is demonstrated by their reply to my complaint.

It is now more than a fortnight since they promised that the 'relevant person will get in touch with you shortly' in this message thread, and 4 months since Samsung supplied me a defective window AC.

Dear consumers on this forum pls take note and ensure that Samsung products are not purchased. If you have any suggestion on how to deal with this, kindly revert.

Aggrieved customer,
Ashish
