I bought an Xperia Z ( C6602) on 7th August 2013, as birthday present for self.
while using the phone it was getting too heated and too fast, when i contacted the place of purchase (Spice HotSpot) they told me it is normal with a smartphone (due to the presence of a "Big" processor).
on 15th August the front screen of my phone developed a long crack. I called up the customer service and was advised to visit a service center (the addresses of all the 5 "Sony Authorised Service Center" was provided to me).
I took the phone to "TechnoPlaza" and after checking the phone they took few pictures of the phone and told me that it looks like an accidental damage!!
however when I argued that there as been no accidental damage with my phone, since there is no indication on the entire phone of any accident, except a long crack on the front screen, they told me that they will have to send an email to the company (Sony) to check as what can be done.
Till today (19th August), I have not been provided with any response.
Now I would like to know as after spending a huge amount to buy a branded mobile, why should I have to wait to know as what will be the outcome?
Also be kind to answer, if possible as why,
1) A big company like Sony, does not have its own service centre (all 5 are outsourced and authorised one, where the employees are in no way concerned for the customer satisfaction).
2) Is the phone built quality different for different countries? ( the reason for asking this question is that, my younger brother who lives and works in Dubai, also uses a Xperia and his phone built quality is much superior that the one I bought).
Hope to get some response, so that the name Sony can continue with its trust.
