I bought a sony ericsson xylo handset on 12th September,2010, with required proof of purchase. The cellphone's ear mic stopped working on 23rd September. When submitted to the service center on 24th September, received a work order no. se310cs117018. Till 26th October, the service center people kept saying they are waiting for the spare part to come, as xylo, being a new phone, the parts are not available. When they saw I was losing patience as they had told me maximum 2 weeks and had exceeded more than a month, they gave me the customer care no. and asked me to speak directly to the co. officials. These people like the service center guys are doing the same, asking me 48 hours in every call, or telling me to wait for few more days. There is no definite or concrete talk from anybody, nor are they ready to give me any senior authority's number nor disclose their nearest office location, if I want to personally meet someone. The complaint no. they have given me is ********.

When asked if you are unable to arrange for the spare part till so much time, either give me a replacement or a refund. But the answer from them is this is not possible.

So what should a consumer do? Keep waiting that 1 DAY, 1 DAY he will get back his own cellphone which he kept only for 12 days with himself, and the co. for more than a month.
I kindly request you to help me get a refund as NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER WANT TO BUY A SONY PRODUCT. This kind of behaviour has disrupted the huge image which Sony claims to possess.Its a shame that such petty complaints cant be handled by such huge companies claiming to cater to customers worldwide.
