This is a complaint against VODAFONE SERVICES. I bought a vodafone sim(# ********54) in the 1st week of march & from the day the sim was active, i have been getting flash messages on my cellphone for every 30 secs. I called Vodafone customer service which is now a charged number several times to get flash messages de-activated. They guided me through various procedures on my cellphone like looking for My services , entertainment , media & god knows what all to get these. The customer service is so sick that they could not understand that i dont have any such option in my cellphone they are talking about. I was taken for a ride by so many agents as half of them hung up on me & the rest said that these messages cannot be de-activated. I spoke to santosh & eventually got angry & demanded to speak to a supervisor. I was then put across to a floor supervisor Basavaraj who promised that these service messages will be de-activated within 24hrs. But till now i m
being bombarded with these flash messages which flash on my screen everytime(even when my phone is locked). It is consuming all battery charge as it is a flash message & i m forced to keep my phone on charger the entire day. I m fed up of talking to vodafone as they seem to be enjoying the income from these flash messages but they dont realise how inconvenient it is to the consumer. Please take this matter very very seriously because vodafone not just has this flash messages service but this service is active from 6am to 2am(mid night) which is ridiculous. They dont even god damn let me sleep in peace. My phone keeps flashing till 2am in the night. I ve spent too much money talking to customer service & i wish to get a compensation against it. Please let me know if there is any other information required.

I support this complaint. I have faced the same problem but came through it. I would suggest you to go to your Vodafone Service section in your phone. Click on the 'FLASH' option. You will find two options 'Activate' n 'Deactivate'. Needless to say you have to click on the 'Deactivate' icon n u will b free from the nuisance.

Hey, i am using vodafone prepaid card from last 4 years(since the company was owned by BPL) and i was quite happy with the service provided, but now m also getting that irritating flash messages every 30 sec. and m really fed-up of this, thinking switch the number to some other company only for this reason, i have already lost lot of bucks by accidental clicks to those flash messages. If anybody's here from Vodafone, i humbly request you to please stop all this non-sense ASAP

Firstly they activate internet free of cost, and start sending messages (SMSs0 insanely with links of many youtube, love sites, etc. as if we are free to do all things rubbish.

after much searching i found the place where you can deactivate this annoying flash messges

according to vodafone site just go to your phone vodafone menu (as if this is visible easily on your phone menu).

but this is correct. the deactivation is on your phone.

on my sony ericsson phone, i found it in my "entertainment" applications folder, listed as vodafone services. there, "flash" is listed and inside that i found the "deactivate" option

so, just look around your phone menus. it's hidden in there somewhere.
