I applied for a new MTNL connection on 1st March 2014. It has been more than 3 weeks now but no connection has been provided. My Customer Account number is : 2033302863

Same day, I went to the Chhattarpur office to learn how long it is going to take. I was told the area will be investigated if there is a Distribution Point. I did my homework and already verfied there is a DP. So, when I told him that there is a DP, the person said the lineman is on leave and will get it done once he is back.

On 7th, I got a call from the lineman Ratan in Chhattarpur MTNL office and convinced me that there are not telephone wires and modem in store. This is the situation all over Delhi and no new connections are being provided. I didn't really believe him but I didn't have any other choice than to wait. He told me that he will call me back once the items are available and the installation can be done in hours.

I visited the office again the next week to learn about the status. Still there is no material available. Today, after three weeks, I went to the office to check the status and found that the Deepak Kumar responsible for the Store is on leave and the lineman not available. I was told I need to come back again on Monday to check the status. This is ridiculous.

This is not good for such a big name like MTNL. I only wish they better their customer services.
