I raised a complaint (28103) regarding a new MTNL connection not provided for more than 3 weeks. My Customer Account number is : 2033302863. Finally, I got the connection today. I have got my Telephone number. Thanks to iComplaints.

Now, though I have got the phone lines and router all set, the Internet is not working. I had to take the router to the Chhattarpur MTNL office as advised by the lineman. He told me that the settings might be incorrect. From his end, everything has been done and correct. So, I took the router to the office and got it checked. Mr. Sharma and Deepak Kumar in the MTNL office confirmed the settings are fine and the issue not with the router or the line but with the Exchange and I need to wait. It will start working in a couple of days.

The main reason why I applied for this connection is for Internet. If it is not working, it is of no use to me. For now, I have no other option than to wait. I am not sure it will start working automatically.

I have wasted so much time on this. I even took a leave from office today so that my connection is done. It has been my worst experience in getting a MTNL BroadBand connection. It is really disappointing how the MTNL functions. No doubt, most of the educated people prefer to use privately owned company services. I can only hope for the best now.
