To,
The Compliance Director.
Income Tax Department
Sub: Request to provide IP & log details w.r.to. password change transaction.
Dear Sir,
I am shocked & surprised to see the mail received from e-filling team, Income Tax Department to my colleague (from company taxation department Mr. U.C. Garg) intimating that “your password is updated successfully and the transaction ID is 1032437474â€. Mail received from e-mail id: DONTREPLY@incometaxindia.gov.in dated 26th Feb, 2013 @ 6.08 P.M. Today, when reached to office my colleague Mr. U.C. Garg checked his mails around 11.00 a.m. & discuss with me about this transaction.
In this regard, I would like to submit the fact that I have neither made any such request nor my colleague Mr. U.C. Garg did any such transaction at your website for changing the password. It appears that somebody has mischievously done the said transaction & might have stolen some of the data deliberately from my account. As mentioned in the said mail I have immediately (27th Feb 2013 @ 11.25 a.m.) contacted to your toll free number (1800 4250 0025) & informed that no such transaction was done by me or my colleague Mr. U.C. Garg. However, the said officer has advised that nothing can be done at their level & and I should change the password again to protect the data & as per advised of said official, I have changed the password again.
I therefore, request you to kindly enquire into the matter & arrange to trace out the person who have changed the password & stolen the information. Also request to provide following information:
I doubt information can stolen from either Maharashtra or Rajasthan.
IP details:
IP status: Dynamic/Static,
Log details (Date, Time, Location) etc.
An immediate action at your end will be highly appreciable.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
(Jagadish V. Musale)
