Hi Dell,
I purchased DELL Inspiron 3520 in 4th March, 2013 from Systron Computers, Hyderabad. Since then I have been facing some or the other problem with this Laptop. The latest in the issue is that my left hand side of the laptop speaker is giving me some distorted sound. When I complaint this to Dell then just checked my regedit and found that VLC WAS installed and told me that they cannot solve this issue because we have used VLC and violated the warranty. My complaint is
1. When I was purchasing the laptop at that time why I have not been educated about this clause? I request multiple times that I need full warranty on my laptop.
2. If Dell doesn't support VLC why they do no inform us via any medium like dell.com or support.dell.com etc.
3. The Dell executive told me that that DELL do not support any 3rd party software, this means they do not support firefox, chrome, safari, microsoft outlook etc. If this is the case then I DONT get any sense to use DELL, and I don't know if this also violates any warranty clause which is hidden anyway. THIS IS REALLY SCARY.
4. I want my speaker to be replaced because I was not aware of any such clauses nor I have signed anything with DELL w.r.t the VLC clause which they are tell me right now. Also, there is NO WHERE written in the terms and condition that VLC is not supported so how do a customer knows about all such clauses?
Today was the very bad day for me and a very bad experience with DELL senior executive Mrs. Shweta. I would request DELL team to look into this and replace my speaker as soon as possible.

I understand your concern here.
However, It is mentioned in all warranty contracts that any issue caused by 3rd party software or hardware will not be covered under warranty.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to replace speakers for your computer.
