LG Electronics India - Disgusted with LG Service

I am really disgusted with the service level provided by LG for my split AC complaint lodged on Sunday, 18 Jul 10.

An Engineer (Nasir Khan) visited my place to resolve the water leakage problem from my indoor unit and within half an hour he left, the same problem crept up again. Complaint no was (C10********).

I called up the call center again on Sunday itself and spoke with the floor supervisor "Dheeraj" who assured me that I would be getting an engineer by Mon morning around 10 but no one visited.

Again I called up the contact centre today, Tuesday and the lady "Mamta" told me that the previous complaint have been cancelled and I need to register a fresh complaint. I spoke with another floor supervisor "Rajesh Paul" and he also repeated the the same statements like a parrot what Dheeraj said a day before.

I stay in my home till 12 noon so would expect an engineer anytime between 10 am - 12 noon. My new complaint no is (C10********).

This whole process is very disturbing and I am losing faith in LG as a brand. I think it would have been much better if I would have contacted a local service vendor for this job. All the people involved in this whole process were very non supportive and I am not happy at all.

I am writing this email in hope to see if someone will take some corrective measures and get my issue resolved.

I endorse your views that after sales service of LG has gone bad to worse. There is no responsibility. Their staff cares damn for the customer once the equipment is sold. I made a complaint of my 1.5 T Window AC on 19.06.12, they took the AC for repair on 23.06.12 and since then I am waiting for the response. Nobody is there to even inform the correct status. Engineer who gave his number as Pawan - ********30 is not picking phone intentionally. I called up customer care several times but reply was same that my AC was being repaired and I will get a call within 24 hours which never happened. Finally I was given no. of Sernor person (Puja Mathur - ********52) with an assuarance that she will help me out but she conveniently keeps her mobile switched hope.
Pathetic!!!! to say the least.

I'm writing this , after been part of a pathetic experience from your service Center in Chennai.

Not the first time im facing this experience with LG service. This is the third such experience from Aug 2010 to Oct 2010.



There was a complaint with my split AC in Aug and this continues till date, even after your service center providing a high end service twice in aug.

For every complaint I booked, I had to make atleast 20 calls (absolutly no Exhasurating). Even after so many calls nothing works out except

hearing all kinds of fancy reasons and lies.



The latest Compalint booked on oct 8th - C10A0802248, is still open from my end, but has been closed from your end !!

I had made calls to all these People below many number of times.

1. Banu ( Service Center Contact - chennai)
2. Mani (Vehical Operator)
3. Arokya (complaint receiver - 1********99)
4. Suresh (complaint receiver - 1********99)
5. Ganesh (complaint receiver - 1********99)
6. Kiran (Manager)
7. Arshath (Operator)

Kindly do not assure best of service, if that is not practically possible with this team.

I have been repenting for two things,

1. Buying an LG Product
2. Getting into an AMC with the service Center.

I'm interested to know if I could cancel the AMC and get my money refunded.

I support this complaint.
and i am also suffering wid the same problem
i brougth d split ac one year ago and since then i hve been seein problems and these lg ppl r nt ready 2 rectify their mistakes
once some person came and widout coming out wid any kind of solution he went and since then i m lodging complains bt no solution has been came out since 1 year
and these lg ppl are nt redy to listen any complains and rectify them so im feeling cheated and disgusted over a working of these lg ppl
so I REQUEST ALL OF U NOT TO BUY ANY PRODUCT OF LG AND DO NOT TRUST THEM A BIT BECAUSE IT IS LIKE WASTING MONEY AND THEY WILL NEVER SORT OUT YOUR PROBLEM
I am writing this email in hope to see if someone will take some corrective measures and get my issue resolved.

Dear Sir,
I have been an avid fan of LG products and u should visit my home to realise that all my electronic items viz LCD, washing machine, microwave & Refridgerator are all LG. But of late my faith in your products has taken a serious beating.
My 280 ltr refridgerator, which i had purchased in Udhampur when i was posted there in 2003, had suddenly stopped cooling a couple of months back. I imdtly contacted the nearest LG authorised service center in Ajit Nagar, Patiala. I was told that the compressor had gone faulty and would have to be replaced.
On taking my consent, the compressor was supposedly changed and returned to me. It worked properly only for 3 days and stopped cooling again.
Thus began a procession of my fridge travelling up & down from and to the service center with them claiming changing a different component each time. After 6-7 failed attempts over the last 4 months plus of claiming to have rectified the problem, i am not only a seriously harrased customer but feel cheated through this entire episode especially after having personally spoken to the owner of the service center Mr Anil who stated that i should give up on my Refridgerator and purchase a new one as it was completely "beyond repair".
This has not only shattered my faith in your products but also saddened me at the treatment i have received at the hands of your reliable service center. What leaves me even more worried is the fate of my other LG products mentioned above.
I am left seriously contemplating approaching the Consumer forum for redressal of my grievance as also publishing this predicament of mine in all the leading Dailies of the country.
