We have been using Dell Laptops in the past and have been quite satisfied with the support. We ordered Vostro 3550 laptop - Service tag - 95N6CR1. It was shipped on 16 Oct 2011 with next Business day warranty. The Hinge cover broke and we placed on order for replacement with Dell on 22 Feb 2013. However, things changed once we started following up for the replacement part. We had to make hundreds of phone calls and send countless follow-up emails but the issues remained unresolved. The customer support is pathetic (provides false promises) and we were informed that the part (worth Rs 350) for laptop less than a year old was not in stock and had to be shipped from Malaysia/Singapore. I think even if had to be shipped from Mars, it may have arrived by now. Today is 08th May 2013, and we are still stuck without a replacement and the agent responsible for the part is unavailable over phone / email. I would never recommend a Dell product to anyone or buy it going forward.
I am totally agree with the above complaint. becoz , I am also facing the same problem with my dell laptop. costumer care executives, are nt prompt regarding service. I purchased my laptop on7th march 2013, service tag 2JVP7X1 and after 1 month I got to know my window z blocked . for this engineer change my mother board along with window. and instead of i 5 they installed i3 and when i said them to replace vth my actual processor so they called me and said i5 z nt available, so i 3 vl b suitable fr u . when i said i want my original one they r nt responding properly. i am totally unsatisfied with the service.
