I had temporarily disconnected my Internet connection and was informed that I will be charged Rs 50/- per month and was never informed that they will charge me the amount cumulatively. I had suspended for 10 months in Jan 2010, so they charged me Rs 500/- + Rs 51/- as tax.
I renewed my account after a month, but didnt receive refund of the pending amount so I lodged a complaint in March 2010 with Youtele after which they did refund the amount of Rs 450 + Rs 14/- in April 2010.
I paid a minimum amount in March 2010 for usage and kept Rs 226 /- pending as the refund amount was higher than the amount due.
So in April 2010 I was charged Rs 50 as late fee for not paying Rs 226/-.
If I am charged late fee for not paying up, Youtele should also be charged late fee for not paying back my money until I complained.
If I had not complained, they would have never refunded my money. Why isnt there a late fee for their mistake?
I had made an informed decision of not making the payment and had informed Youtele agents everytime they called to enquire about the pending amount.
There has to be justice and fair practice in consumer service.
