Vodafone Delhi - Vodafone Data Cards sold on False information on Internet speed

Am writing to file Consumer product complaint regarding the Vodafone broadband data card services sold to me with false information as against the actual internet speed which comes with the data card.

I called 111 last saturday; 25th Dec'10 & spoke to tarun in data card deptt (Personal no. ********95). who promised that the 3G enabled data card provides a speed from 2.0 - 3.6 MBPS but when the connection got activated on 31st Dec'10, I observed speed discrepancy against what was promised initially. When I co-ordinated with Lokesh (rep in sales-verification deptt., no. ********78) who got a call arranged from troubleshooting deptt. (********14) who informed that this card doesn't provide the above mentioned speed, rather it is a GPRS connection on sharing speed basis. I was really shocked & felt that I would have rather got GPRS service on my mobile to connect internet to my laptop if i wanted the same speed rather than buying 2 Data cards for 1600/- each.
I really felt cheated with the false info. provided while selling these connections to me and requested for refund/compensation for this.
After challenging the following calls made by my numbers (********22) to 111 & chasing up with the Nodal Team, I was finally told by Shweta Mehta (Nodal Team) on 20th Jan'11 that the concerned sales deptt./person never promised any such speed & was advised to take this issue wherever I wanted.
* 1st Call - 25th Dec'10 (11:01 AM) - Spoke with Sales rep Tarun Gupta at 111 who promised this speed.
** 2nd Call - 4th Jan'11 (14:45) - Fortunately, got to spoke with Tarun again who informed me that they are supposed to provide 2.0-3.6 MBPS speed info. to customers & was shocked to know that I was told by the troubleshooting Team that it is a GPRS based connection & promised a call back after speaking with senior.
*** 3rd Call - 4th Jan'11 (16:59) - Followed up again as I didn't got a call back from Tarun. Spoke with Obed who asked me to approach Nodal officer for this matter.
Please take this concern on high priority as I experienced Mental harrasment in this entire episode.

Complainant's Goal: I want money back/refund/ & compensation for all the Mental harrasment.

I support this complaint. Even i support this cause as i too got a data card but i get a download speed of 0.1 to 0.8kpbs instead of getting speed of 383kbps as 3G is not yet launched. The technical department told me that as the 3G is not launched in my area so the speed for 2G is 383kbps. But i never get speed of 10kpbs ever. Also my network profile has been rest so many times but to no avail. I need the refund for the data card of 1500/-
