I was trying to book a e-Ticket with IRCTC Website , while booking after making the payment using by HDFC Netbanking option, the web browser did not get redirected to IRCTC portal, so i did not get any confirmation regarding the booked ticket. However if i see the booking history, it says no history found.

So i am not sure whether the ticket is being booked or not as i do not have any reference number, neither the ticket got delivered to my registered address .
Still the amount has been deducted from my HDFC Bank account

Hi Venkat, This is not a problem with IRCTC, it generally happens with any portal using a payment gateway when the transaction fails after the amount is sanctioned by the bank. But dont worry, to handle such cases, IRCTC has a seperate section called FAILED TRANSACTIONS which is available after you login where you can see the failed transactions for which you have been charged and ticket was not booked for. There you can also see the status of the refund, i too faced the same situation where i was charged without the ticket being booked, but was refunded automatically after a week. So be patient, your money is safe.
