On disembarking from Howrah Barbil Janshatabdi today at 8:10 am, I came across a guy in white clothes and no official suit on at that time demanding my railway ticket. I simply asked him to show me his identification card. Then I saw his TTE coat hanging in his arm. He was not wearing it. He refused to show me his identification card and threatened me in the exact word " app humko ticket dikhaiye nahin toh .... ". He insulted me infront of the entire public present at the station. To avoid any ruckus, I showed him my ticket. He then proudly announced " Hum yahan pe khare hain, yahi humara id hai". I then left the platform. I felt utterly humiliated and threatened on just asking for a simple id which I have the right to demand. He was not even wearing his coat along with the id tag, so I could not identify his name. This kind of behavior displays their arrogance and their misuse of power and teat passengers like they are miscreants waiting to be caught.
