Complaint by: Subrahmanyam on February 11, 2013, 2:48 pm in Indian Railways

My family member travelled by Train No.12658 on 10th February, 2013 from Chennai. He had to pay difference of fare to TTE, which he paid. But the TTE in stead of issuing PNR wise receipt to payee told only one receipt for six passengers. This is irregular self-styled deviated procedure of TTE. Every payee is supposed to have his own receipt which he may have to produced on demand during check. When the passenger who got consolidated receipt gets down earlier, the other passengers will not be in a position to satisfy inspecting TTEs or Squad on platform. In some organisations, the individuals have to submit claims for reimbursement and in teh absence of receipt, it becomes impossibility.

The above can be noticed if the receipt book of TTE, who wrote the consolidated receipts on 10th Feb., 2013 in Sleeper coach No.S12. This comes under not issuing proper receipts to individuals as a proof of payment? Indian Railways have to take action on TTEs who start self-styled practices, which may lead to corruption, besides harassing the customers? Stich in time Saves nine.

Complainant's Goal: Train Railway staff to issue individual payment receipts.
