I received a call from ********79 claiming to be a calling from airtel office and airtel has an offer for me. He sent me a text with a code and asked me for the code. After speaking out the code( my phone showed AD-TFGIFT as the sender), 2 minutes later money started getting deducted from my pre-paid mobile account. Money amounting to Rs679 was deducted and transferred to various numbers.
The call was received by me at 10.54 hrs today and the conversation lasted 1.29 minutes, when I tried calling back it said transferring the call to another number and in the end, it said this number does not exist.
The number was +********5979. True caller says it is a Jharkahand airtel number.

11.21 - 115 deducted
All the above money transferred to ********59
11.22 - 115 deducted
transferred to ********9
11.00 - 59 X 2 deducted
transferred to ********56
11.01 - 45 deducted

I called up airtel customer care before the last transaction took place and asked them to block the same,but they said they were unable to do it.
After calling thrice spoke to asupervisor who gave me a number of nodal office.
Spoke to three people there
First lady(kanya or kavya)- put me on hold for an eternity and never came back, and I was charged for the call.
Next person I spoke to, I informed him that I do not have balance so please ensure the call does not get disconnected from my side. He assured me it would not, but as I was explaining the call got disconnected due to low balance.
Next lady, I told her that I would like to speak to the manager and she came back saying he is busy and has promised me a call back within 3 hours.
Let's see what happens.
