We (four members of family) boarded the Rockfort express to Srirangam on 6th December 2012. We were suppose to take a 2 tier AC coach but due to the coach failure our tickets were reassigned to 3 tier AC. My father who is 74 years old was assigned a Upper Berth in a coach different from rest of us. On complaining to the TTE, we were asked to complain to the Station Master at Chennai Egmore and TTE refused to cooperate with us to reassign seats for all of us in a single coach. I am surprised that a organisation as big as Indian railways could not manage to find a 'Single' 2 Tier AC coach to replace a coach that had been declared sick. On top of that rather than acknowledge and cooperate with passengers, the TTE had left us to sort out the problems by ourselves and to run from one end of the train to other. It is time that Indian railways be privatised and bring in competition to improve passenger service. Please privatise Indian Railways to improve its services.
